<div class="IPBDescription">Crashing problem</div> Whenever I run <b>any</b> program that uses 3D (even online Shockwave games) my computer just freezes. It runs perfectly for a short time and then just freezes. It happens on every 3D program (NS included). Everything else runs fine. I haven't changed any drivers or settings recently. Could any of you help out? Heres my system specs just incase they may help.

AMD Athlon XP 1.6Ghz

512MB RAM

60Gb 7200RPM hard drive

Geforce 4 MX440

On-board sound.

    O_o thats EXACTLY whats happening to me.
    I tried virus scanners and it doesnt seem to be any of those...

    I checked for ad/spyware and removed it. I also had a trojan and I removed it. God damn I hate those ones that look as if they are important! This was called C:\WINDOWS\System32\System32.exe

    But none of it helped.

    hmm
    ok, my usual, open up the task manager (ctrl-alt-del) and go to the second tab (proceses) and kill all non esential programs. Also empty out your systems tray. Then try something.
