Any Plans?
I found the 1.0 NS manual an invaluable tool when first starting the game. The explanations were clear, the flavor text added a ton of atmosphere, and it captured the spirit of the game well. With all the changes to the tech tree, alien abilities, and just about everything else, can we expect a brand-spanking-new manual, chocked full of informative goodness?

any chance of a table of useful information seperate to the manual, dont get me wrong the manual is well written and adds to the storyline well, but finding bit of info you might want is currently extremely hard.
things like weapon damage of different guns/ classes, the kinda stuff you want to know when your assessing your tactics as a new player.

With all the newbies coming in, I think that they would have to have a manual so that the form doesn't become flooded with questions more than it already is going to be...

im glad they decided to update it and that chard would be extremely helpful...like the tech chart which showed how much everything cost and how long it took to research... that would be helpful

This clearly fits within the realm of the fanbase. The developers provide you with the game, and the means to understand it at the most basic levels. It is up to the fanbase to create and distribute such high end information. Those who truly care do it already, as they have since 1.0 all the way through 1.04.

Aside from the manual I hope the tooltips are also going to be updated so things like "Crouch to climb walls" will not be there to mislead some people.

i was really inpressed by the manual. The brief commentary/stories that go with a few of the aspects of the game are interesting to read. I should read the history of the TSA thing some time because im sure it'd be a great read. They did a good job of really delevoping not only the game but the world of ns itself.

I agree. It's an interesting read. Hell it even tells you how the Onos got it's name.
