Oh. yah, these could probably be considered **spoilers** 1. Hi! I can shoot explosive bursts of plasma out of my hand. My primary objective is to kill John Connor. I can't put two and two together, especially when he's in a car directly in front of me, and you know how cars always explode in movies. 2. Hi! I've transformed into my secondary target's fiancee. Rather than get close, and perhaps kill her while she hugs me, I'll transform into my normal self about 20 meters away from her, giving her a chance to run away. 3. Hi! I can kill people by impaling them with my arms. I'm able to grab my targets a number of times. Hmmm... I think I'll just throw them. 4. Hi! I just got my ankle crushed by a TX. But I can still limp and put any kind of pressure on it without feeling incredible amounts of pain. 5. Hi! I have the ability to control other machines. This includes the ability to control motor vehicles. So, rather than try and take control of the motor vehicle that my primary target is driving, I'll take control of 5 other vehicles and try and use them to ram my target off the road.
And it goes on.
I didn't *hate* it. There are very few movies I actually hate. But I won't be seeing this again any time soon.

How can ah-nold hold up a 100 ton blast door when the terminator of the same model in the first movie got squashed by a simple hydraulic press?
I think it's kinda strange that the robots with the miniguns could not stop their own 7.62mm rounds, it looks like they've got pretty thick armor and thats a pretty common small arms caliber. It would mean a guy with a rifle could stop them.... Anywho......
Also, the terminator is vulnerable to simple flame? Sucks for them....
And when arnold has some light face wounds the "metal" underneath moves with the flesh. h4x! CG > Makeup!
Anyway I just thought I'd share ^_^ I loved the movie
True... the CG in the mummy returns of the rock/scorpian looked pretty terrible <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
Xzilen nailed the one about the cars. She somehow put some kind of controlling device in the car that allowed her to drive them without actually being in the car. She never came into contact with the car so she couldn't control it. It felt like a filler for T4 though, something just to really get you going.
Movie was great, ending was awesome. The CG was also flawless, I could hardly tell it was there at times. It didn't look WAY too fluid like most CG does, it still has the stiff human look it's supposed to have.
***spoiler below***
<SPOILER> It was also awesome to actually see judgement day. </SPOILER>
Growing up with a father in SAC, it was kinda sobering seeing the ICBM's go up. Decietfully beautiful, but not a sight I'd ever want to see in real life.

Ok. I just saw it yesterday and I watched the HBO special on it.
They actually went and built the two big Chaingun robots, TWO of them. The T-X actual robot model was built, as was the one of Ahnold stripped to half his skin.
I think the only CGI was really the opening *dream* scene of the Machines.
Is it just me, or does it seem like no one can ever be happy with a movie these days? Yes, I know we all have opinions, but some people degrade a whole movie on some of the most ridiculous things. Just how somone said that it was stupid when the chick terminator's breast grew...When I saw T3, just about everyone chuckled at that. All of Arnolds stupid remarks are indeed pretty damn dumb, but they still make me laugh. Overall, I thought T3 was kick-****, and I'll probably go see it a few more times. GO ARRRNOOLLDDD!!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
****BTW: The CGI was great in T3...
Nova - You can honestly think that was the only CGI part! What about the car scenes...arnold being smashed through all the buildings, while showing arnold hanging on...There are quite a few CGI scenes, and the parts that are look pretty damn real to me.
After watching T2 again, I just can't say anything else about T3 other than IT WAS TOO DAMN BRIGHT! I mean really, watch the old one, its dark...lots of depressing blues or high contrast deserts. The entire military facility in T3 looked very cartoonish, like they barrowed it from the set of Hulk.
Another thing I noticed, was in T2 the T-1000 was much much smarter then this chick. He never mutated before he reached his target, he always used his metalic knife mutating things to his advantage, and he assumed different identities to blend in.
The T-X however, always has that 'Im a Terminator, and Im trying to look mean.' expression on her face, it seems like they made her act as robotic as possible. In T-2 the T-1000 had a quick chat with John Connors parents, in which he displayed emotion, he did a good impression of human behavior.
The T-X just sticks to the same identity throughout the movie, same menacing face, and she dosent even use any of her cool abilities! Shes a T-<b>X</b> for crying out loud! Did the T-1000 ever get 'damaged'? No. Yet for some reason the only effective weapon for killing another Terminator gets destroyed 15 minutes into the movie? Hm...who didn't see that coming?
I enjoyed the movie, but in retrospect it didnt make much sense, and they had some of those situations where things turn out too convieniently.
If this has been posted before me, sorry, I didn't read anybody else's posts incase they gave the film away!!!!!!!!!! It's not out in the UK yet, but I am really looking forward to it. From the last trailer I seen on apple.com it looked great.

T3 should have been named "Rehash of T2 with different characters" than "Rise of the Machines." I was totally expecting them to explain the whole battle of Skynet vs. Humans after D-day, but it didn't happen <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->. Me&my friends were arguing about the flawgic involved in Judgement day...it's completely stupid how Skynet nukes probably 80% of its computing power during judgement day, and yet has the capability to build robotic killing machines (with no one mining the ore, drilling the oil, refining the chemicals, building the machine tools, researching the technology, doing the experiments) in the span of a few decades. Even if skynet had more computing power than the whole rest of the world, and it was sentient...all it is is a computer. There are no full suites of automated factories producing from start to finish the necessary materials to build anything like a Terminator.
The movie is great except for the following things, which almost definately contain SPOILERS.
First, the ending...Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but heres how it happens. The Terminator (which is model 101 not 800 (those were the ones with plastic skin or something) removes a hydrogen fuel cell and shoves it in the 'mouth of the T-X' casuing a tactical sized nuclear explosion, basically vaporizing the TX and the T-101. However the problem with this is the fact that Arnold is holding the door up with one hand and holding the TX with his other. (Despite the fact most people think the T-1000 flying the helicopter in T2 while reloading, presenting 3 hands is a mistake, it is not). Since Arnold does not have liquid skin he can't make another arm. Even if he did release something (the door or the TX) with one hand, he would need to take his own reserve powercell which would in effect shut him down, so, that makes no sense.
Second, the TX....is just really bad at acting...and with intelligence, bah. She assumes the identity of one person during the entire movie, and when she has a chance to kill someone with it, she doesn't. She doesn't finish off the T-101 after she's hit his first power cell, she doesn't kill Catherine when she's in the truck (pulling off the door sequence (however this can make sense since she might want to interogate her for the location of John). She always has the same look on her face, which she does really poorly.
Third, which is still my gripe from T2, how do these liquid metal machines come back in time, in T1 Reese specifically says that the field generated by organic skin allows part of the time travel (which is why weapons can't be brought back). The T-1000 and the T-X violate this Terminator-physics rule, since they're made of metal.
Most of the other stuff is pretty solid, but I don't think the computer power existed in 1992 to create a sentient virus distributed over multiple networks (i.e. SkyNet).
Oh, and how could John possibly be assassinated in the future...He would have to be a complete and utter moron to think that the Terminator is the one from his childhood (the one that supposedly 'kills' him and is sent back by Catherine). Since he saw it melt and everything.
Growing up with a father in SAC, it was kinda sobering seeing the ICBM's go up. Decietfully beautiful, but not a sight I'd ever want to see in real life.
