I was recently checking ACvault for Asheron's Call news, and I realised... Olthoi Soldiers would make perfect Fade replacements. They have two big claws, an acid attack, and they're even the perfect size. They may not fit exactly in a futuristic environment, but they certainly have lots of Kharaa traits, like being under a hivemind and all. Anyways, I would love to see one of these guys running down a hallway at me in NS, and if I could take up modelling this would definitely be my first project <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. Is anyone up to it?

I do... downloaded the Ascherons Call 2 trial (860mb) a couple of weeks ago but the file was corrupt :/

I'm well aware of Asherons Call and AC 2. Unfortunly not a big fan of either one considering the buggy patches Turbine keeps forking out for both. (AC rule of thumb 1: Never play on the same day as when they put in a monthy patch because the server will be having seizures and it prone to multiple crashes in the span of 30 minutes.) Olthoi's could be interesting as a fade but thats about it.

Despite the crashing (which imo was never a big problem, especially when compared to other games), AC (imo again) was and still is the best MMORPG out of the "big three". I agree with you on AC2 though, I had the "pleasure" of beta testing it, and everyone recognizes it as the worst MMORPG in existence. It wasn't made by the same team that made AC1 though, so Turbine is excused. Plus, it doesn't even have Olthoi, which takes us back to the topic... which is that I don't think any AC player can deny that Olthoi would make excellent fade replacements <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
