<div class="IPBDescription">well the modelers of us anyway...</div> hi.. ok this isnt a rant because all the Morita models that have been made are all very nice...

however.. i am appealing to some modeller to make an EXACT copy of the SST rifle (Morita) now there are versions with holosight's and all that.. but i really really really just want a plan old normal morita no fancy scopes or sights just a plain morita..

i can go hunting for reference pics if needed... i just really need this! i have 3 set packs..

Modern - complete.
Default - Complete
SST - complete nearly except player and morita. and a few other bits and bobs...

    There are all 3 versions on delarosas page.
    Morita (full sized, double trigger with subweapon)
    Morita (carbine)
    Morita (holosight)

    What other version are you talking about?

    You can't get much more "exact" than that. The fullsize Morita was modeled from the movie prop, after all.

    Unless you mean the animated starship troopers: roughnecks. Their gun looks totally different, but they still call it a morita IIRC.

    Well.. someone modelled a Roughnecks SST Morita... though it looked a bit.. funny. Can't find it now though.

    no no no i mean the full size one on there... but for LMG (i had never thoguht to look for a morita as a hmg...)


    if i just rename it will it function fine as a LMG?

    Yeah, it's labeled as a carbine MKI for some reason

    Not sure if you can just rename for a diff weapon, haven't tried it before

    You can rename hmg models to lmg ones. Only the reload animation won't fit the true relaod time <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
    And I got the full sized one as lmg with animations. I'll have a look where I got it

    Renaming model name is bad don't do it...convert is what you need to do.

    1) When lmg to shotty or so renaming Is bad, but not that bad from hmg to lmg. Mind the reload anim.
    2) Converting would just mean changing some animations.
    3) DL the model, easiest thing ^^
    4) There are sprites for the Morita floating around somewhere, contact me if you can't find them I'll send them to ya.

    In this case it doesn't matter, since the HMG Morita is just a renamed version of the fullsize Morita for LMG.

    ok ok ok now onto my ONE last Question...


    is there ANY way to make the shotgun model the lower part of the morita?

    so when i get a shotty i can pretend im out of LMG clips so i have to use the ol boomy underneath?

    You COULD but you would need to do some animations and mdoel modificatinos as well as qc muzzle flash modifications. I thoguht of doing this before because its easy but I'm lazy and workin on my Minigun right now. But perhaps I'll do it...

    you just Rename the smd files when you convert, changing the animations would be pointless, the reload times can be fixed when the modle is decomplied, you just changed the fps in the qc. file then go ingame check it and if its still out of line then you change the fps a bit more in the qc again, and so fourth.

    Changing smd file anmes has no use. For what? And for the anims it was easier to load a reload anim of the gun you want it to be converted to, look at the framecount and the fps and then change either the fps (some sounds may not fit now) or stretch/shorten the anim in MS3D or 3DSM or whereever. Converting lets say shotty to lmg would require some new animations. "Converting" lmh to hmg or vise versa isn't "real" converting. Doesn't require anything.

    Err yeah, but there was some other guy on the forums who made one based on that. I know that's the actual model they used in the series. I was just saying someone made a model using that ref. I was gonna make a roughnecks SST model pack but then I went meh cause I sorta sucked at modelling then.

    But now I can't skin mesh so I'm gonna go mehhh again and have a go at modeliing when I format my pooter.
