Unless you mean blinking through the elevator, which would no longer be possible.
Blink is certainly useful in combat. Marines with HMGs guarding the only way in to the room? Long hallway with marines at the end? Solution: blink behind them, le swipe, and bam! 3 more dead marines.
Oh yeah, VERY useful for running. I´ve gotten out of fights with 0 armor and 4 hp before thankzz to blink.
Blink is newbie-unfriendly. Took me 2-3 months to figure out how to use it correctly (the crouchy thingy to blink in smaller spaces).
NS in general is Newbie-unfriendly (not the community mind you, just the game). That´s how i like it, skilled players with new strategies and epic battles.
if it sorta acts like noclip mode without clipping into the maps, then woohoo,Ill be happy because who would want to press a switch when blinking anyway??
/me ticks it off list and adds no more blinking through doors
Awww....Ill miss that too,all the doors are not blink-proof in eclipse :/Ill also miss teleporting across the Access Corridor (Yes I can do that.)
on the issue of MT; remember marines cant see the blue circle if your in veiw, and since your cloaked they will see nothing, the only time MT effects blinking if when blinking while behind a wall so it doesnt really matter. (unless they changed the MT rules).
blink really needed a change since on some levels it simply didnt work, even with the crouch jump 'fix', in small corridors it was nigh on impossible to blink, usually resulting in you crouching in the middle of the floor, not moving, being rapidly filled with hot lead.
but in big rooms 1.04 blink really did rule, and since it was 'chainable' some cool wall bouncing mavouvers could be executed, confusion ahoy.
