<div class="IPBDescription">i was wondering...</div> now i know sig sizes are good and all (perfect size in my mind)
but with all these kids making sigs out of quotes and what not, plus adding the "approved sized" sig pictures, sigs now take on dementions 2 times the "approved size of a sig picture. now tell me how that works out?
just a wonder of mine, maybe a reply from a "sig moderator"?

Edit: Typo
Signature Size rules pertain to images, so that the forums can remain a 56k-friendly environment.
i do see a few oversized images, but only the lbatently obvious, or reported signatures are taken down.
Text on the other hand is only restricted to # of characters. since text is more 56k friendly than images.
That said, that does NOT imply that 150 pixels is an OK sig height. I would suggest limiting yourself to two lines of text above/below a sig image.
btw on a side note, anyone snappy at pixel art wanna hook me up sig/av?
I dunno, I remember a certain evil mod deleting my sig because it was five whole pixels too tall. I wonder who that could have been, coil... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> (and still I swear I was told in IRC that the max dimensions were 400x80 when I made it)
However, I totally agree that text in peoples' sigs can get out of hand quite often. In fact, it's odd that this topic has shown up today becasue I was pondering it myself yesterday when I noticed a few such sigs.
rofl, how can you tell?
I will keep an eye out, even though it's not that hard to spot...
I've actually been wondering about the size of text sigs, becuase i've seen some pretty large ones...
got to get back to class now <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I found the orginal picture of it on the internet, yippie! I'm the sig hunter.

you did? I keep thinking of that guy who had an eyebrows sig with "ALL your brows belong to me"
Is it desirable to report "too big sigs" as well as "bad posts" ?

If a post gets closed down, please please please make a final comment. This doesn't always happen, and leaves forum members wondering who closed it down and for which reasons.

My original post was a bit more dodgy towards the mods, but I decided to leave it out <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
