Was planned (I think it was a marine building that when placed would explode after a given time). Was imbalanced because comm could just drop three in each hive, and aliens couldn't take 'em out fast enough.

there is much discussion you can find using the search feature in the bottom right.. type in "nuke" but anyways in short... it was removed cause it was imbalanced..im not sure if it was a building or not tho....

just to shut this down fast:

it was a thing the comm could drop, it didn't have tobe built, it cost ALOT of res, it could be destroyed by chewing it.

However if you drop 3 in each hive simultaneously the game was over, this encuraged marines to turtel in and just build massive static deffences as the comm built up the necesary rez. Thus leading to bad games.

This seems to have been answered quite well, including the portion about using the search function in the lower-right of the forum (the top Search link sometimes glitches for some people, but the bottom one sometimes works). Not really much more that can be said about this, so...
