What is it?
I'm running out of places to go/take people to and I was wondering if you guys would like to submit your favorite restaurants and why. Since we all live all over, I suppose I should ask for a favorite chain restaurant and a favorite overall restaurant. I'll start it off.

Favorite chain restaurant: Bennigans. Their ribs are so tender, they just fall off the bones. Any attempt to cut them just gets tons of meat bit into the serrations of the knife. Such teh pwn.

Favorite overall restaurant: Gypsy's Italian Trattoria, in Berkeley. It's incredible Italian food at ridiculously low prices. And their pesto sauce is to die for.

Rhuadin!

(Somehow, whenever I type my name I accidentally type 'Rhuadni'. Argh)

I can't remember it's name, but it's located in New York, America and it's the 1st ever Pizzeria in built in America.
I think it's somewhere near the Gardens.... oh well.

They make the world's BEST meatlovers pizza. I swear to god this thing melts in your mouth.

And I live in Australia as well, so yeah.... I don't get to visit it much.

Wow, I guess I'll have to check it out when I go to New York. I'm sure someone'll know what it is.

I live in the US so my restaurants are US ones.

I just came back from a family owned place called Mr. Powdrells -- amazing barbeque.

Firkin restaraunt chains. Why? Because they have NTN. (National Trivia Network) played on screens, at the end of a game, the scores are taken into play with every NTN restaurant in the world! Right now I think for every NTN place you have to be 19 in Canada or 21 in the US to go in because they're now all legally bars. I'm 15 but my family and I were regulars before that rule so they still let me come in although I'm underage

hmm, I am from NY USA. and as for the 'first' pizza place in the USA, don't count on it, there are probably like 5 places that claim that just in NYC

ok, food is one of my bigger passions, and I am from NYC (teh m3lting p0t ) so My list is gona be a tad long:

First up Chains:
Outback Steak House is probably my fav of that type (outback, applebea's, Uno, Fridays, trusday's etc), or Olive Garden (good italian food, but not the best)

Now for the local Places:
Jade King, Chinese/Japanese, Huge selection ,decent prices and they recognize me and my mom when ever we come in so they treat us nice (great service, great slectionm). It on Hillside Av near 188th St in Queens.

Two Boots, named after the 2 georaphic boots (Luoisiana and Ittaly) Cajun Itallian fusion, great stuff. They also have a place called 2 boots 2 go that is a pizza place (some of the best topping combinations around, combined with a cajun red sauce, fabulous). They are both on Ave A near 4th st, Manhattan.

wagamama, great place unfortunatly only in the british ilse (suposedly one is opppeing up in NYC some time). Basicaly a good, fast, cheap sitdown ramen shop. Great food, fun service (the waiters simply have wirless pads that instantly beam your order into the kitchen). when I was in London my mom and I ate there like 3 or 4 times .

So yah, this is only listing some of my fav places, there are tones more.

Oh one last one, I don't know if there is a good China Town in California, but if there is one you should check it out and see what they have (generaly the good ones will have cheap vendors selling good food

well, GL mate (I am gona go start my food thread)

My favorite resturant?

Chileno's. Best Mexican food you'll ever eat. ever. ever.
Location: 59th and Western, as there's like 5 others but they all suck. Oklahoma City, OK, USA

now I'm hungry :(
• JefeJefe Join Date: 2003-04-21 Member: 15734Members, Constellation
Favorite Chain: Chipolte Mexican Grill (they spell it Chipotle but they lie, bastages...). It's mexican food with a lil subway thrown in, you pick what kind of burrito you wan't and they just make it in front of you, so you can choose what kind of salsa and beans and such. I go there at least 3 times a week. It rules kthx.

Favorite Local: I don't have any favorite locals now, but there was this one in Orange County, CA (where I used to live) called El Farolito. That place was great. Juaqin's in Yorba Linda is good too.

There's no good food in Kansas City though :'(

is there any TGI Fridays in usa?
• InjuryInjury Mahou Shoujo Join Date: 2002-11-10 Member: 7992Banned
I don't suppose In-N-Out is considered a restaurant. If that is the case, then I haven't been to a restaurant of my choosing in oh.. half a decade?
• RhuadinRhuadin Join Date: 2003-06-05 Member: 17023Members
As far as I'm concerned, any place that serves food is a restaurant.

I miss in-n-out! There aren't any where I am right now and so I can't go get some.

As for TGI Fridays, yes this chain is in the states, but I've never been there. There is one nearby to where I am though, so maybe I'll go check it out sometime.

... Tonkatsu?

YES!!! omgah you WIN!

and it's like an orgasm of the taste buds, and all the nerves in your nose and mouth just explode from the bliss

and you fall backwards out of your chair, blood pouring from your facial orifices

dude your post doesn't make baby jesus cry

baby jesus just exploded

macaroni grill is nothing like italy... the food is sux, the atmosphere is sux, and the people is sux, all compared to italy, in terms of authenticity etc

the closest you can get to italy being in the states is little italy (DURRR a duhhh DURR) in NYC

if you eat pizza there

you will never consume pizza at another place again.

so if you like round table, or pizza hut or whatever the f*ck stupid bullsh*t pizza, do NOT ever visit new york city.

I don't go to restaurants often, but I like:

Subway (mmm, good submarine sandwiches)
Arby's (some of the best seasoned curly fries - or chips for all you strange people out there - EVAR)
The Old Country Buffet (just a buffet, but it's pretty good)
• ThansalThansal The New Scum Join Date: 2002-08-22 Member: 1215Members, Constellation
wow, I forgot about East Buffet.

In Downtown Flushing on Main st in Queens. Gian Asian buffet, $20 gets you in (that is cheap for what they have)

Alot of people who go will simply lod their plate with crab legs, about 3-4 times (thats why it is like $20), as well as a sushi bar, and ALOT of other good stuff

Fave Chain (I'm pretty sure its a chain restaurant):
Prime Quarter Steakhouse

You get to choose your steak (you open the fridge and pick it yourself), you get to grill it yourself on these huge grills. They give you all the seasonings right at the grills so you can make them any way you like them. Also grill your own Texas Toast (yum yum).

Fave Local Place:
Cant really think of one at the moment
