Voice Comm In Commchair

Well i'm using an optical USB Microsoft mouse with five buttons, during normal play i have voicecomm bound to button5, but the second i get in the chair i'm forced to use the keyboard for voice. For some reason when i'm in the chair the only buttons working are the basic left and right ones. It's really annoying switching from button5, which my subconcius already knows as the mic button, to alt once i'm commanding. Is there anything i can do to make all of my buttons work?

you can (assuming you don't mind doing this) mind your mouse button5 to a keystroke (via windows). This way when you press the button you are actualy pressing said key, and thus HL will be happy <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Oh and I BELIEVE that this is ain the planned fixes for 1.1 (note this is mostly rellying on my bad memory)

Beware, if you do that.. it *will* lag, as in you press the button and have to wait a little while before speaking, very annoying to have it start midsentence. I have a similar mouse with 5 buttons, and voicecomm works very nice on one, if you dont use the M$ software
Theres also a problem if you are using voicecomm while entering the commchair, it will stay on until you press the other button for it.. Sometimes this isnt a problem though... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
2. bind it to a key on the keyboard
3. unpatiently wait like the rest for us on 1.1 to fix it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
