<div class="IPBDescription">For knife</div> Yes, i know that there's a guitar for cs already made, but it's textures are ugly and i think Stratocasters suck <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> . So, i decided to make a new one. I used my own guitar as reference(Washburn Rs980). Things missing are: Tone and volume knob, Floyd Rose(Bridge) and locks, strings, tuning machines and the cable plug. I haven't decided the color yet, i may use my guitar's color, but i think most of you don't like purple <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> . So, color/pattern/image suggestions would be nice <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> .

    Looks cool, although I'm more an Ibanez bloke myself..

    Polycount looks a bit excessive though, what is it?

    Don't know the polycount, as 3dsmax doesn't show it <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> . But that's not the problem though, i'm finding a way to override the polycount in milkshape's compiler.

    But i'm guessing that the polycount is about 1000 atm, as it's pretty low detail right now(proper shading and shadowing does miracles).

    if you've got Milkshape do this to find out poly count (this is the only way i know atm)

    In 3d max goto Export in file save it as xx.3ds, now open up milkshape (thats if u got it) goto import, look down to near the bottom and u'll see AutoDesk 3DS file, click it then locate ur model and open.

    tadah! uve found ur poly count! but there must be a plugin or sumthing about that tells u in 3d max

    Oh, didn't notice the post from hamster, yes, i already have recorded some guitar voices(for my friend who needs them to some techno song=))

    Oh yeah, and the polycount is something like 900 (the main part is 600 and all the boxes and stuff have 30-10 each)

    Uhm... to get poly count in 3ds max 5, go to the laaaaaaast tab, with the rollout labeled utilities, click on the button to the right of "Sets" (the button with the window and 4 buttons on it, mouseover is "configure button sets") and click on it. Find "Polygon counter" on the list on the left and drag it into the list in the window.

    Now you can go to the utilities rollout anytime and press polygon counter and get a polycount. Wheeeee.

    By the way, you could no doubt save a bunch of polys by skinning on the pickups' bits. They're often flat anyway.

    So, the model itself is almost completed(strings missing). Skin ain't ready yet, 'cause i suck at skinmeshes <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> . I'm finding a good tutorial. If someone would like to skinmesh this for me, i can send it.
    The anims i have atm are made by laxu, for his guitar-knife for cs <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> . They're very good, only the idle animation doesn't show the whole guitar.

    Like if you bash a skulk, the guitar will explode into 1000 pieces floating around, piercing everything and everyone, leading to a bloodbath that noone will survive?

    The model is done, now i'm doing the skin (I will include the skinmeshes in the final file, so every one can customize it =)). Should i use this color? Or maybe a black one?
