Edit: Isn't it spelt Architect?
And because I am simply a clone of Fam, I might as well point out that it's spelt "opposite".
There are people who can't read or write you know.
Lets not forget the billions of people who don't even speak english. Are you to say they know what vis-a-vis means too? The fact of the matter is that only around 1% of the world population or so has ever had SOME college education. If you hadn't noticed, people in college don't often say words like condordantly or ergo. There are some pretty stupid college students on this planet. The only reason some people are alive is because it is illegal to shoot them. Take a fraction of those people who went further in their education and got a Ph.D. How many doctors have you heard say ergo, condordantly, etc.?
NOT EVERYBODY KNOWS THESE WORDS!
I know you want to seem smart, but pretending things are true which aren't isn't the best way to get there.
It's just that to me, these words seem fairly normal and somewhat common, especially "vis-a-vis" and "ergo". And what you say about doctors, for me at least, doesn't hold true, I have heard my doctor use such words, and other, less well known and used words, as do those people I have met who have Ph.D's.
I can understand why people might not recognise a word such as "concordantly" (although, in my opinion the basic meaning of many words can be understood when used in context, and I believe "concordantly" fits that), but to be honest, I've heard plenty of what you might call normal people use these words in an everyday situation, especially "ergo" and "vis-a-vis".
they really arent hard lol
Were not trying to be smart by knowing those words because they are, despite what you might think, quite common. Having no grasp of grammar or the English language isn't "funny" or "cool" it's just disturbing.
Concordantly I will now propound a supplication to the overseers consisting of an authoritative program to necessitate spelling and grammar impeccability.
The French do. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
