Family Guy

DVD, maybe more!
Anyone else here have the Family Guy dvd? I've seen all the episodes on it, but I'm still watching them all. I love that show. Somewhere around 400,000 have been sold, which is very suprising consider how poorly it did. Seth MacFarlane said it was vindication that the show was as popular as they thought, but the numbers didn't reflect it. Fox is so suprised with the numbers, as well as its Cartoon Network rating (About a 1.4 nightly average. Network blockbuster shows usually get about 30 rating, cable, 1+ is considered good, especially in key demographics.) that they are considering doing more with it. 1 Possibility is a straight-to-DVD movie, or even another season!
I love this show. Buy the DVD! Support it!

theres one episode unaired, (i think, anyway) it was the last one made but never got to see broadcast, and it was chock full of jewish jokes, so i jsut assumed the series got canned on the basis of morality.
Im definitly getting the dvd. I alraedy have several episodes on CD in avi files.

I have that episode. Not especially as funny as the other ones.
Family Guy points out some racist jokes, but they're hilarious! Such as the one where Chris (the older son) starts talking street talk and everything, and Peter thinks he's possessed, haha.
I love family guy. The moment I first saw an episode, I fell in love and was dissapointed to find out that it had been cancelled. I have downloaded every single episode, including the two unaired episodes and also a lost scene from the episode "Brian in Love". If the DVD was availiable here in Australia, I would buy it in an instant.
Everyone I know loves Family Guy, and grabs any chance they have to watch it. The show could have been much more popular if it had the chance, there was even a petition once on PetitionOnline to save family guy which had about 40,000 signitures, IIRC. That said, I still have no idea why FOX pulled it. :/
[EDIT]That petition is here, not bad at 113000 signitures.
What happened was the FOX network interrupted futurama episodes by football games and such. So fox ended up with almost a full season of new futurama episodes. While FOX was showing these episodes, the futurama team didn't have to make anymore episodes in the meanwhile. In essence, they weren't getting paid. So they all basically caught jobs in the meanwhile.
It wasn't that futurama wasn't a hit, but more like the FOX network got a little too loose.
However, FOX is showing new episodes on futurama back at 7 on Sundays next to simpsons now.
That was the best show ever if you ask me. Simpsons and Family guy come in a close 2nd and 3rd.
