Just Finished Watching Shaolin Soccer...
<div class="IPBDescription">Fun!</div><a href='http://us.imdb.com/Title?0286112' target='_blank'>Shaolin Soccer</a>
- It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but it was still hellishly fun. You can tell whenever they use CG to do the scenes, but even when you do, it still look pretty damn amazing.
I've also been thinking about several of the live action movies based on animes slowly starting to cascade iinto theaters, and looking at the CGs that they use, I think that it could actually be made to look good. Not that I'm a die-hard fan of DragonBall Z, but if they employed the same people who did the CG in Shaolin Soccer to do a live action DBZ movie, I think it would look pretty sweet...
Anyone else seen it?

Usually, films from Hong Kong have really awful special effects, so it was a real surprise to me when I first saw it. A really funny film, definitely made funnier by actually understanding what the characters are talking about thanks to subtitles.
But stay away from the trailer and if you can stay away from english dubbing.
The trailer is actually one big spoiler. Thankfully I had seen the movie before the trailer but if you watch the trailer then there isn't much need to watch the movie.
