Well, my modeling days are over for now. Just today my computer's hard drive died. I don't know how it happened, but it keeps making a clicking noise like something is wrong, and it won't detect a hard drive =(. So I guess my need for an animator for my C-10 rifle is gone. And I was just working on a Metroid Prime gun model that I was done with that I needed to skin =(. I can't play NS either anymore until I get a new hard drive either. So I guess I'll just be on the forums from time to time. I'm on a crappy old computer if you're wondering how I'm typing this. And I just don't have enough money right now to get a new hard drive =\. So later.
If anyone wants to play Tribes (the only thing this computer can run) I'll be playing that <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> .

If you know where your harddrive is located, you don't really need to open it up. Just give it some light bangs near the harddrive until it starts working. Fixes most things. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I think I uploaded my Shield Battery on Geocities. Either way it was my very first model and pretty crappy anyways. =p. I'd have to re-do it.

I've had thos prblem before on my old IBM HD. I managed to get it running after every time it quit. Don't ask how, every time was different. Once you have your new HD, see if you can somehow kickstart the spinning then grab every thing you need while you still can.

i got a ibm hd too... i buy never ever a ibm hd again... it runned well for a half year in a active cooled aluminium rack. one day it crashed badly while copying some data from one partition to the other on the same hd. i restarted my machine without problems, not even a dataloss.. ive deleted different stuff from the partition where the computer crashed.. at the point where the computer deleted the folder, where i want to paste my data in ,crashed my machine again..
hhhmm... DATASYSTEM ERROR MAYBE! ok..at the next reboot i do a scandisk,i want to play some svencoop now... ive finished playing, restarted my computer and runned scandisk.. 60% finished... then this well known and feared noise ..*tink* .......................*tink**tink*.........*tink* *tink* *tink* (°_°) scandisk killed my harddisk completly... maybe if i hadnt runed scandisk ,i still could backup my data..
the other time my baracuda died.. ive used a very good hardisk cooler.. one day the main bearing jamed.. i dont realized that first because i still heared the linear electro motor...what ive not knowed there was some kind of fluid or hop coupling...
ive opent the harddisk and connected it to the power..hmm.. the disk wont spin..but i hear the motor... ive tried to spin the disk at the center by hand.. lol.. it was like glued.. but it turned easier with every spin..after a while the motor was strong enough to spin the disk itself. ive closed it and copied as much data as possible to my other hd... that was very close..
