New Wannabe Mapper

<div class="IPBDescription">help</div> hey, i know the basics etc, but i can never get my configuration right to run NS maps... ive tired various things and i just want to know what you guys have as your configuration, how do u set it up.

ive read severl online docs and tried what they said still i get "map not found on server" every time

    Make sure that you set your path to NS directory. The one that places the compiled maps to.

    Have you tried <a href='http://nsworld.ns-central.co.uk/mappingguide/appendix4.php' target='_blank'>this article</a>?

    I'm working on a compiling tutorial at the momment, that might be able to help you further.

    i am using hammer, ok chrome angel i will give that a try

    ive tried yet anothor setup tutorial in which i progressed slightly it seems i got batch compiler thing...

    ok here it go

    its very frustrating, i can make basic maps and things but i can test them out!

    ok that is basically what ive had time and time again... its always comes up "cannot find map on server" in the console

    back to the drawing board i am afraid,

    i reckon its where my compiled maps go (obviously so perhaps?)

    but... meh, i dunno

    sorry for this apparent spamming, i could have edited i suppose but i think this shows my progress better (not that its really important)

    well ive dont it, instead of using batch i used zoners thing and i didnt run the map after compilation i made a lan game on NS and opened on that it worked fine, thnx for your help. phew

    i can at last make my poor excuse for maps...
