<div class="IPBDescription">bahaha</div> Yea.. I'm watching the news and can't help myself.. really does the government need this money? Since when did people actually care about the size of people other than in a sexual interest? I understand that being overweight is unhealthy.. but so is pretty much anything. Personally, I'd rather die fat and young than grow old and slowly die.. so I lose out on the last 20-50 years of my life.. big freakin deal. They're the crappiest years in life anyway, might as well grub now before someone has to do the grubbing for me.

Bleh.. stupid tax.. better not be on string cheese, begals, chicken and pepsi.

Having never experienced them, you cannot possibly know that.

Yep, I've heard that some people actually *gasp* enjoy their life after 40th birthday. But that's just hearsay.

I'm actually looking forward to my later years in life. That's the time when you can look back at your life thus far, say you've got your education, did the work thing for a few decades, and you've got a family. Now it's time to travel!! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

A few of my retired relatives do a <i>lot</i> of traveling, and I'm always envious when they're showing off pictures from their latest excursion to some other continent. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Who said that you would die young and who said that if you die while young that it would be fast and painless?
To operate your heart because it's clogged up with fat is not painless. To eat a rainbow of pills every day to keep your heart under controll is no fun. My father is a bit overweight and the above is part of his life. To see an optimistic energetic person like him get depressed and easily tired is a fate I don't wish upon anyone.

As for if your goverment really needs the money, if my memory servers me the answer is yes. The inhabitants of USA might be among the riches (and poorest) but goverment is one of the poorest. Just check the top 10 borrowers of money from the UN.

I'm reading a book atm called "Fast food nation". Read it and your problems with fat will be substancially lowered. I know that it will take a long time before I eat at a fast food parlor again. Fast food is probably the place where you eat the most fat.

When it comes to the food you hope won't be included:
String? dont know what it is
Cheese, there are kinds that are low in fat but most have over 10% fat so that is probably included.
Beagles, don't think they are that bad. It's probably what you put on them that is bad.
Chicken, only the skin of chickens have any fat in them but you'll probably pay for fat you get when they deep fry it.
Pepsi, it doesn't have fat just a lot of suger

Wow so your fat whos fault is it? The company that makes food and you have a free choice to buy or not to buy or yourself? Its your money nobody forces you to go to Burger King. If somebody wants to buy and eat fatining foods it is his god dam right to.

As far as my goverment needing more money? For what to make America a nazi-socialist state? More social engineerig like this? More ineffective and pork barrel spending?

its part of the (uk) government to try to cut obesity by taxing foods with a certain fat content. they are alos palnning on removing nhs health care for people who are told to change their eating and/or smoking habits and then do not.

I never said that I was fat, I said that my father is.
If you choose to get fat then you should know what the consequense will be.
Problem arise when parents learn their children to eat at BK or MD. The number of choices we have in life is few. What your parents teach you is habits that are hard to break. When children gets fat (BMI over 30) before they are even ten then they haven't had any choice in the matter. Since most people think with their wallets then a tax might be the easiest way to teach people from harming themself or other.

But hey, if some one wants to jump of a building just let them. It's their damn choice. The only differnce between fat and jumping is the speed.
