What makes anyone think we're now mature enough to handle it? (look at the "1.1, I want it now!" threads in the general discussion forum)

    This is completely up to mods. I guess they judge whether the discussion is too flamatory and then lock it or let it live.     I think any discussions about wars or other countries should/will be locked very quickly. They are bad for the community <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    See the discussion forums were 100% discussions Off-topic is more like 22% discussion 85% nonesense with a 7% margin of error.

    It does seem odd though that the discussions haven't been clamped on.

    Strangely enough, the moderators, and even a Super-Administrator have contributed to the discussions and seem happy with it. It might have to do with the <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=10&t=34789' target='_blank'>ridongo</a> character, who set the highscores this week for the "cesspool to the max" stats, making every other discussion shine like a copy of Half-life 2...

    I am trusting Nem's judgement. However if I see things gets inflamatory in here in these discussions - I especially am watching the embryo one - I will be cutting some kneecaps. Watch your steps everyone...
