Hm...I’ve hade this problem for quite some time now:
When I play a HL mod online, on an ordinary server
I often get the *send packet: Error, NO ERROR* message.
This is quite annoying but it’s really annoying when I play NS.
If I get the *Error: No Error* message while playing NS I’ll have to
shut down hl.exe in order to get out of the game and back into windows.
And when I get back into windows the high gamma in NS seems to have
pasted out of NS and into windows, because everything is highlighted like a 1000 times.
Now I have to reboot my PC in order to get back the ordinary colours.
The even strange part is that the highlighting thing only happens sometimes...<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
I would kill <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif'><!--endemo--> (lol) for some help whit this problem that has been hunting me since
I started to playing NS and other hl-mods!

Intel Pentium 4 1600mhz.
DDR RAM 512 mb
80 BG harddrive
GeForce 3 64mb
Creative SoundBlaster Live (WDM)
I dont think it can be the prestanda on my PC thats the problem?
Il try it out next time I get the gamma problem.
The gamma thing only happens while I’m playing NS, but I get the *error: no error* message
in all the hl mods Iv tried.
Yes, I have a firewall. I got ZoneAlarm (don’t know which update).
One of the first things I did when I got ZA was to let hl.exe access the Internet.
But I don’t know, it might be the firewall anyway...because I have tried to download
the 600mb HL2 movie and when Iv downloaded half Iv lost connection to the server.
Iv tried to download the movie from different server. So I’m starting to suspect that
ZA is shutting down all Internet access sometimes...but I don’t know why?
Iv read the first topic about the *error: no error*problem, and I don’t think (but I don’t know) this has anything to whit my problem. They got the message in LAN, I don’t, I get it while playing online. And I’m not sure it would be so safe for me to go and mess whit my IP and stuff. I have broadband so it shouldn’t be any connection problems, but it might even be my connection to my broadband company’s server that is **** up...what do I know?
The strange thing is that the *gamma moves over into windows* thing only appears
some times and not every time I´l get a *error: no error* message.
I don’t know what triggers the gamma to move over into windows... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
