<div class="IPBDescription">Got questions? Got answers?</div> All righty, stealing this from the mapping forum because it's a great idea. (<a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=33005' target='_blank'>original thread</a> in case my description seems unclear)
This thread's basically for those quick little problems you just can't seem to figure out. Hopefully it'll work roughly as: (1) you post your question, (2) some kindly soul posts an answer, (3) you stop pulling your hair out and get past whatever was holding you up.
So I'll start us off, because MAX is seriously kicking my bottom at the moment: How on earth do you turn an edge in MAX? I've got it selected, and got the "Turn" button clicked in the Edit Geometry rollout, yet nothing I do seems to make any difference.

Next question? Anyone? Bueller?
tell me how u go about testing? Or do u just play for as long as possible waiting for that time?
As for seeing HA and JPs (and any player model, for that matter), I think your best bet would be either a bot, or enabling 3rd-person view in a LAN game and playing with the camera commands.

New question: Since the Skin modifier in MAX is giving me a hard time, is there a way to manually assign vertices when envelope adjustments aren't doing what you want?
Also, doing envelope editing w/o soft selections would be handy too. Is there a way of doing that other than just making the "soft" area very small?

If it was me, I'd start a LAN game, type sv_cheats 1 in the console, then hop in the comm chair, build me some arms labs and whatnot, then drop myself a few shotties, GL's or whatever to play with and test out.
If it was a non lmg weapon v model that is..
It seems a bit long winded, but the buildings will build almost instantly with cheatmode on, and ..well we all know how hard it is to get a comm to dish out the elusive shotties..
I swear if it wasn't for HLMV I'd forget what they look like..
Oh, and I haven't a clue about the MAX questions, because I've never used it. Must be a few around here who do though?
Having gotten doen to finally figuring out the vertex assignment thing, I'm struck with a new problem: It likes to mess up my geometry when I try assigning my mesh to my bones, especially on the limbs. Here's an example of it where it hasn't messed up *too* much (as in, it's still recognisable).
Any suggestions?
