Is There Anyway To Make The Marines Scream

<div class="IPBDescription">hmmmmm</div> I would like for the marines to scream when i bite them... but is there a way to make the building hit sounds differnt than a marine hit sound??? well cause i dont what my buidlings screaming <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

i remember coils saying somthign about editing a modle to use what ever sprite you wanted and also not effect the others.. this what in the SC VEspen NODE somone wanted to do. Please say its possible.

    I think that would be hard coded.

    it cant be because you can edit unit speech attack sounds death sounds and hit sounds all in your sounds folder. Now all you need to do is get the marine hit sounds to have there own sounds separate from the building hit sounds.

    search for the vespine node idea and youll see coil sayig you can tell each model to use its own sprite. ANd i beliv eif you can do it with sprite then you can do it with sounds

    i dont see anything about when a marine is HIT only when something HITS a marine. so like Bitehit-1 or clawhit-1

    sooo i dont know.... maybe we could make or own sound... i remeber somone saying that they did that and had there marines scream everytime they were damaged.. but his buildings screamed to.. so ..yeah i think it can be done now its just a question of whether you guys want to have this done.

    the .qc file die sequences for diing look line this.
    $sequence "forward_die" "forward_die" fps 18 ACT_DIESIMPLE 1 { event 2001 35 }

    now there are this events:
    1004 Play .wav file .Wav file path
    1005 Play sentence file Sentence file path

    so does this work like it should or not?
    $sequence "forward_die" "forward_die" fps 18 ACT_DIESIMPLE 1 { event 2001 35 } { event 1004 30 “ambience/argh.wav”}

    That's a very bad example to choose, since coil and fam (and I) have been proved wrong on that.

    I'm not sure about changing the .qc file :O

    It would be cool to have the marines scream <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> . My buildings start swearing at me when I kill them, and they insult me when I parasite them.

    It bugs me. But it's fun with marines.
