<div class="IPBDescription">Inspired by Brandyfire</div> I would like to start another one of theese things back up. I think that <a href='http://www.brandyfire.com/Nsmapproject/ns_leigonxiii.zip' target='_blank'>ns_leigonxiii</a> has proven that if organized that this can work.

Any way here are the rules. From suggestions I get below I will change the rules as I feel fit.

1. A layout will be submited and decided on. The location of the map will be on a jungle covered planet inside a facility. I have the RR done for the most part already. I have a layout on paper that I will make into a jpg or somthing. It is pretty big and takes up 4 peices of paper so...

2. A standard connection will have to be made to connect the sections of the map together. We will need a standard door frame just for the connections between sections of the map.

3. We will need to decide on textures to use. I figure the best way to do this is to make a custom wad with standard and custom textures that will not go over 4 megabites.

4. Make sure everyone has the same lights.rad and uses the same env_gamma settings or that only 1 person does the final compiling.

5. Specify a standard for buttons, doors (opening and decorative), vents and ladders.

6. Have somewhere you can meet up and discuss the project.

If any more suggestions come to mind (that are constructive <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ) Post them.

Specify a standard for buttons, doors (opening and decorative), vents and ladders.

Have somewhere you can meet up and discuss the project, we used #nsmaproject and I don't think we could have done without it.

Make sure everyone has the same lights.rad and uses the same env_gamma settings or that only 1 person does the final compiling.

Plan the progress in advance, if we had planned a schedule in advance Leigon could have been done in a couple of weeks instead of months.

Don't keep the whole team waiting for one person (i'm looking at you Mr Ben...), if someone doesn't turn up or share their bit on time resdistribute the workload throughout the group.

You forgot, "spell the name of your own map correctly." <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

cool, someone has the same Idea I had! I'm currently leading a single player map on the german site gfx-scene.de (look in signature if you are german and interested <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->). I've called it "Partmapping" because every mapper maps a part <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
looks similar to this project. But we haven't so many rules, we map on our own part on part.

Are there any takers? I want to get started on the process of making it. BTW <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=33479' target='_blank'>http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...=ST&f=4&t=33479</a> Here is the topic on the map originally. It is just the RR so you can get the feel of what the theme will be.
    The skybox is this.
