Healing The Hive

I've been using one of the structure health plugins and it made me realise just how effective healing the hive is. One heal spray heals the hive a massive 54HP. :o
I also did a little test and it took me 30 seconds to heal the hive by 2500HP (with adrenaline).
With 8 DC's the hive healed 1200HP in 30 seconds.
I don't even build DC's under the hive anymore, I just drop them and let them build themselves while I heal the hive myself.

The siege would kill the Gorge, thereby destroying any chances of healing.
Sieges can take out a hive backed up by 7 defense chambers.

Incorrect. A SINGLE DC can only heal 3 nearby structures/players at a time - not a single TARGET can only be healed by 3 DCs. Multiple DCs DO stack.
A single TARGET is effected by all DCs that don't already have 3 Targets. That target, being the hive, will most certainly pump up the hp fast.
The point of limiting single DCs was aliens could once make walls of lame that would not die no matter what pounding they took. Multiple sieges and GLs couldn't drop them. But I do believe that got changed over around 1.01 or 1.02. That and siege/gl/bilebomb splash damage was borked at the time too.
However, to remain on topic, it is very advantageous to build more than just 3 DCs. Don't fool yourself on the healing power.
As for the healing towers, I tend to build 3 under the hive, then 3 under the 2nd hive (I usually start re-inforcing my hives now instead of taking a 3rd one and having 3 very, very fragile hives)
start webbing, some oc's, make it into at least 5 dc's under each hive, and if possible, the maximum and lovely jubbly 8 dc's under the hive.
this WILL last longer vs. hmg's, and it WILL save your precious hive

But the problem is often your ressflow, when you have a decent one, pop those dc's under that hive!
And it leaves your area maxed out, meaning you can't make wol's at entrances or doorways leading into the hive, you can oc and web them, but they will be gone in a matter of seconds.
