The builder alien uses his stomach goo to create the biological buildings that the aliens can construct. I suppose he just pukes it up so it turns out the way it was supposed to, kinda like the matter-rays in Total Annihilation. Alternately, he could just spit the darn thing out, or poop it out, or whatever; the end result is the same. We'll all get to see the grotesque animations come release-time anyway <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
i know that humans build buildings by the commander mode adn pushing e to build it but how does the alien build does he have a littel commander screen or somehting?

For instance:
To build a resource tower, the builder locates a resource node. He then selects the RT from his build menu, and it appears in front of him on the node. He then holds down his "use" key and a progress indicator appears on the bottom of the screen. When the indicator fills, the resource tower groans to life and starts harvesting.

I would, but I'm not sure it's the final system (builder interface was recently changed), nor if all the final artwork is in. I'll let Flay or MonsE make the call about posting a screenshot.
