<div class="IPBDescription">An Optimistic View........</div> Hi NS community,
It's been a while since I've posted here (life kinda got me sidetracked for a while). I've been watching the development of 1.1 for quite some time and occasionally I've jumped on a 1.04 server and I must say, despite the shortcomings (described in GREAT detail by a few on these boards) NS is still one of the most innovative and fresh ideas I've seen in the gaming world to date.
With games like Savage and Half - Life 2 coming out I started to wonder if they will live up to the massive hype surrounding huge budget games or whether I'll buy them only to be bitterly dissappointed. I've been into gaming now for roughly 10 years (started with the NES back in the "good 'ol days" yada yada) and there have been some incredible highs and pretty dismal lows. I guess the main point of my post is that a truly "phenomenal" game doesn't have to be developed on a truly "phenomenal" budget. Some of the best games, electronic and conventional (ie board games etc..) have been developed by the average joe or by some of my close friends.
So, for those of you chomping at the bit to get your grubby paws on 1.1 just consider this. The best games on the market IMHO haven't been created by the big game studios, but rather by guys like Flayra and his team. I'm looking forward to 1.1 and I know it will be good. Why? Because people who put their passion and heart into something seem to succeed.
Thanks for doing the work Flayra and team.
