Info About Sony's New "halokiller" - Kill Zone/kin

Looks awesome!
"When the Xbox launched, Halo was touted as the best game ever in many circles, and still gains heaps of praise to this day. Sony plans to steal a bit of that spotlight with their upcoming "Halo-killer", titled Kin, which is also known as Kill Zone.
Kin is being developed by the Lost Boys, a group out of the Netherlands, and here is what we know so far:
- the game will include multiplayer co-op online play, as well as various other 16 player modes.
- voice communication will be supported via the PS2's headset.
- the game runs at a constant 60 FPS and is said to be the best-looking PS2 title yet, even better than Gran Turismo 4 (?!).
- the control scheme will be similar to Halo. Imitiation is the sincerest form of flattery!
- streaming technology will be used to eliminate load times, ala Jak & Daxter.
- the "kill zone" term refers to a gameplay dynamic which would slow a player's targeting, giving them a slight advantage over other players.... is this first-person bullet-time? It's not known if this feature will be included in the final game as of yet.
- the game is rumored to use the Havok physics engine found in Half-Life 2.
- the game's soundtrack will be performs by a symphony orchestra.
- the targeted release date is sometime in Fall 2004.
So, is it a Halo-killer? More importantly, is it going to be a Halo 2-killer? We can't say for sure, but when we know more, you'll know more. Stay tuned.

Therefore I do not care.
Blah.
Maybe they'll do it for PC, too?
That game was addictive, especially in multiplayer.
We've heard that enough times to know that the greatest stuff comes to the PC. See: GTA3, GTA:VC.

Then why isn't Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner on PC yet?
HaloPC is a definate (I so can't wait), and this game will probably also be ported to PC
Anyway, this new game won't be a Halo killer unless it has vehicles, and good ones. It'd be something to see if it did manage to overcome Halo, though.
Yah but on PC you can use 5.1 speakers w/ a sub woofer and a good sound card to blast 80's music at uncomfortable levels.
"And I ruuuuuun I ruuuuun so far awaaaaaay, got to get away"
What no one else sits in cars and just listens to Wave?

It's like a fade and a skulk. The skulk is a PC and is always going at a faster speed than the fade. The fade is the console and is always behind except it gets close to the skulk when it blinks, but then falls behind as it is out of energy and must recharge.
Meanwhile a lucky 'rine gets them both in the back in the form of the great sport: Paintball.

*Paintball penetrates skull with a large splat at over 10000+ ft/sec. LOL ok maybe only 350-400ft/sec*
yeah kid... for sure...

What's a PC fanboy exactly? Wouldn't that apply to anyone with more than 300 dollars to spend and a brain?
Anyway, you'd be insane to claim an FPS game could be better or even as good for console as one for PC. Theres no contest between console controls and fully configurable mouse and keyboard controls. And I won't get into the graphics dicussion because there will always be some "console fanboy" to make an arse of himself to try to prove me wrong.
<--- is PC a 'fanboy'
Exactly as a Console fanboy.
And please don't start a war against PC and Consoles because it is so ridicoules. You can't compare them IMHO.

I was just saying how can someone be a PC fanboy? PC's are used the world over for business, research etc. Maybe if he said PC Gaming fanboy it would actually make some sense.
