    Does it take long to load on startup?

    Edit- Not going to use it, its green blue white.. WTH? Isn't it meant to be green? Oh and it starts again if you open a program or something.

    It can! But when Wallpaper Changer changes my desktop ZM still does the old picture, you can fix it by right clicking on the ZM icon in the systray every time your desktop changes, annoying but well worth it. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You can change the colours but it's the backround it uses as the template so make yourself a black background.

    And you can also edit the special strings (The sentances that randomally appear) They're in character set (Double click on the tray icon to open the editor)

    I love this program. My old desktop:

    <img src='http://www.princeton.edu/~danj/temp/matrix.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

    I'd show my new one, which is blue code, but it's a pair of <a href='http://www.hl-nightwatch.net' target='_blank'>Nightwatch</a> screenshots, which I can't show to the public. ^^

    Hmm.. neato to play with once, but I don't feel like wasting any CPU cycles and RAM on it. Its also got a problem w/ refreshing, and I worked w/ non-maximized windows a lot so I'd see the program's errors more often than anything else.

    Still quite neat though, could be a great screensaver...

    Im using it now, but sometimes you can see the power drain..but its nice <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Uh doom, it <i>is</i> a great screensaver, look in your desktop properties you nub. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> It also has options for priority, which defaults to idle, which means it won't use a single cpu cycle you need.

    I have <a href='http://www.astralgfx.de/3d/big/matrix-neo.jpg' target='_blank'>this</a> under it, looks quite cool.

    add: but the big NEO on it looks kind of.. annoying.
  • HawkeyeHawkeye Join Date: 2002-10-31 Member: 1855Members
    It's nice, but it would be nicer if everything wasn't obliterated underneath the windows you move. It should be exactly what it claims to be.. a background. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    very cool stuff.

    But as far as the blank backgrounds when you move a window around........ It's either blank, or double the memory usage and you'd get a crapload more cpu usage just for miscellaneous pixel copying that would need to be done. I don't know how much more cpu usage it would entail for sure, but my SWAG on it would be at least 6x the cpu time for the thing to run.
