Hello, this is my first post to the NS forums, but I've decided to finally and try to contribute to the great community here. I've done many conceptual drawings of firearms before and I think I have a fair grounding in their workings that they are fairly realisitc too. (I've seen the lectures given by sheena to Sid lol, hoping to avoid that) Yes the lower frame is based off a Wilson CQB pistol (love that firearm too much to not let it go) and somehow the slide became like a Beretta's sculturped slide. *shrug* But I'm also debating if I should have the slide be more like traditional semi-auto's now day with just the ejection port and no frilly curves along the entire thing. You can see this in the "slide lock back" picture right under the full side view of the gun. Still up for grabs which I wanna use, so far I've got a 4/2 poll on it from my friends which looks nicer (with the Beretta type slide leading the way) I was kinda inspired by the small compact barrel compensated look recently after watching Equilibrium and watching Preston's oh so sweet auto Berettas. Soooo.... this version I designed also sorta has an firing mode selector built into the safety that is used on M-1911A1 frames. Same basic funtions, fully up and recessed into the slide and the pistol is safed, snick it down one and your in semi, knock it down one more till it hits the grip and your rock-n-rollin. I wanted to emphasis a small compact pistol like the one used in Equilibrium so I didn't decided on using any fancy extended mags as of yet, so they have nice standard mags. (But I did leave a brief sketch of a possible extended mag at the top after badgering from my friend) So far this is the first time I'm using regular non-glow in the dark night sights for my designs, I figured if this is gonna go full-auto, there's no need for precision quick target acquisation with the Novak front sights I usually use in my concepts. And if you can make it out on the bottom the circle sketch and on the grip, I am planning on using the logo for the Hellsing Agency on there. Sorry...couldn't resist.....all you Hellsingers out there should know how cool that thing looks... It has a standard lightened trigger and hammer setup, might do another trigger design later. Any and all input on the design would be appreciated, and if this concept sees the light of day in NS as a model, that would be pretty cool. Just throwing out some ideas here, if you all like this then I'd be more than happy to post a few more concepts I have. Thank you for you time in advance.

Sorry for the weird colors, still working on getting my scanncer to work good. (That and I don't believe in inking stuff in )
http://www.geocities.com/spikejericho941/S...raphConcept.jpg
*edit* Ergh almost forgot I only have Geocities... umm right click and save the picture or right click, get it's properties and copy paste the url. Sorry bout this...

I guess I was sorta inspired by the USP MatchGrade's barrel compensator, was trying to be more individualisitc though. I'm still working on that I guess too. Well it ALL is still a sketch... And if you think that little combo looks like a D.E. and USP hybrid...you should see my first baby...

    http://www.geocities.com/spikejericho941/TS84.jpg

    http://www.geocities.com/spikejericho941/T...TS84Diagram.jpg

    And it's compensated version...

Why thank you. I personally really like how that one turned out. I liked the tri-port barrel idea too. And yes, if someone ever did make that then I would love them. Either that or I just keeps saving till I can have Clarence Lai make me an Airsoft version.....lol I really wanted my compensated version as a NS pistol replacement at first, but then my current concept came along.

lololololol it's suppose to be a rubberized slip-on grip lol. Although I DO do the electrical tape from time to time... I thank you all for the good comments so far, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. But make sure to point out anything you think I should do to them too now. Some of them are a little old though and I really gotta update some small things...

Oh yeah, almost forgot to ask which slide do you think I should use for the first pistol, the "Seraph," the Beretta style slide on the top most side view, or the P-99 stylish slide right underneath it with the slide lock.

Tripod is a good host for stuff. It has a free 15 MB account option, and you can do the old "add .txt to the end of your image filenames" trick to bypass their anti-imagehosting system.

Yah know...funny you should mention that...my friend has been bugging me for a shotty for him....just he wants his named "Oppression" lololol. That and he wants me to somehow design him a semi-auto double barreled clip feed one. *scratches head* That'll take me a while to sort out... As for NS, a nice single barrel shotty shouldn't be too hard. Hmm...and a gren.... And I think I can come up with a welder idea or two. Oh.......btw does this thread belong in Artwork? Just kinda noticed that mehself....

Yeah, put it in art if you want, but if you want it modelled then you put it in the right place.

Your perspective could use a little work, but overall very decent drawings, keep it up

If you can, draw up a side view of http://www.geocities.com/spikejericho941/TS84Match.jpg
It's possible to model it with that view, but it's a pain in the butt

Roger, sorry bout the angled view, didn't think anyone would actually try to use that view for anything yet. I kinda jumped from my conceptual sketch to that fairly quickly so yeah... From now on all the concepts I put up here I'll try to leave as sideviews/top views etc. And by perspective do you mean my angles of view and such? If so, yeah those are all my choices for some flair...heh... And I'm working on doing a shotty and LMG right now, have some fair ideas in mind...I should probably start a new thread for just firearm concepts period...didn't expect to expand so quickly...

Your talent is impressive, the most creative concept art doen in here, before you, was Sid's "ownage in Pbrush" series. Sid is talented, but yours look professional! (no offense to any of our other designers, but it had to be said...)

Thanks Mr. Headcrab. I'm sure there are more talented designers out there though, I really gotta learn to use a ruler from time to time... I'm gonna do a side/top view of the T.S. 84 MatchGrade since everyone seems to like that one so much. And you wouldn't happen to be the same headcrab that stole meh oreos would you?! If so there's a .45 ACP round with.....actually there's nothing on the round. How stupid would it be for me to carve your name on a bullet that's gonna be fired anyways....

here it is. Sorry for the low quality-

The slide and frame are a different shade to help distinguish the two, thats not the skin or anything.

1597 polys, more than double the standard pistol, but hey, half life 2 will be released by the time someone gets around to skinning it, so it'll be fine
