Nubs all of you. You just can't admit that the Snes is the superior gaming console, when you see the graphics ability of super mario world you will ditch your computers for good. The only reason HL2 isn't comming out for SNES is because people are too dumb to use it and play non-intellectual games like the sims.
I'm going to go download a new harddrive and memory for my SNES nubs.

Consoles are, and always will be, a strong gaming platform, but <i>they are limited to their existing hardware</i>. Since the hardware is identical for all units, it's easier on the game programmers to fine-tune a game so it'll work perfectly on that console. The negative point is that when the console becomes outdated, it eventually becomes necessary to buy a new one.
So in other words, <b>consoles are very strong platforms during their peak time, but their value is quickly depreciated based on the power of competing consoles over a period of time (usually 2-3 years).</b>
PC, on the other hand, is quite the opposite. PC's are able to constantly remain high above consoles in sheer power through numerous upgrades, but this creates a nearly infinite combination of hardware and software. Game programmers have to try and accomodate everything through patches, and the end user must keep up to date with drivers.
A game you may have bought 5 years ago will most likely still work the hardware components you have now. This isn't <i>always</i> the case with consoles (although the PS2 did the backwards-compatibility thing nicely).
<b>The PC is the gaming platform for those who are willing to work on, and pay for, the advantage of a much longer gaming system value.</b>
