Hows Are Fades Supposed To Be Anti-jetpack?

<div class="IPBDescription">Just to clear up some confusion</div> As I understood it there were supposed to be definate counters in 1.1 like Jetpack > Onos and that Fades were going to be the jetpack counter. However I don't see how metabolize will help against them at all. If Fades are no longer supposed to be the jetpack counter then what is? Just trying to egt a clearer picture here.

    I really have to agree... I think that acid rockets are the closest thing to a counter.. besides lerk spikes.... and those don't do crap really..... *shrugs*

    I thought lerks were supposed to be a counter, as I heard jetpacks are near useless right now anyway.

    The JP is the only thing that can't be stomped or that can keep it's distance from the onos, so it still does counter the onos decently.

    IT will remain an Onos counter as it is in 1.04, all a few JPer's have to do is get into a good perch and shoot the Onos to bits.

    what infected marine said, I suppose. That was the initial use for jetpack anyway, not infinite hover.

    You have to use it skillfully, though, against a very manoeuvrable target like a good JPer.

    So it would seem. I think the Fade is becoming more of a mutt as far as roles goes.. it seems to have both offensive, and defensive weapons, and seems very nice all around. I don't know how nice it'll be to play, but I do know it's going to be a favorite of the aliens, and a menace to ill prepared 'rines.

    At least it wont be such a big deal if u die...
    And hmg and other weapons are cheaper in 1.1.....So i dont think u have to worry about how u will get another "combo pack"...
