    anyone know any good gamma settings so it dosent change the lighting to much, i set it to default 2 and it didnt come out very nice indeed, i`m gonna try 0.35 next time, i`m also working on some bast logos of my own. and some pulsing motors and some other werid and wonderful effects <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Recommended gamma values are between 1.0 and 2.0

    You can test that ingame with sv_cheats 1 and setgamma x (x is the value you want, obviously)

    btw... it is more a 'contrast' value than a 'gamma' value as it alters the gamma ramp

    seems like a bit of both but more gamma related, but when i tryed 2 on ns_doom it looked really harsh lighting so i`m gonna try a lower value like 1.0 or 0.5 maybe lower.

    oh boy.. that does actually not sound so good.... i would definetly advise against using "ns_nostromo". the <u>Nostromo</u> was the ship in Alien. "Nostromo" is the exact name mind you, and we all know how big the "Fox Scare" was earlier. don't get me wrong, i love Aliens, but i certainly don't want to give Fox any grounds for stopping production of NS.

    lol when i saw nay and ns_doom i just sayd...... WTH?!?!?! CANT BE! and rushed the place, im so happy to see this old old map alive =) it looks 10 times better now

    Thankyou Fieari. I was going to say the same as soon as i saw the last post, but figured it would sound better coming from someone else. That is the exact reason you should not name it Nostromo. Nay, i implore you not to name it Nostromo. I can't speak for Flayra and the NS team of course, but i would say your chances of getting this an official map would be just decimated, and it would be a shame for such a nice looking map not to be official.

    anyone know the easiest way to work out the best RGB properties for rad files? i try using paint hehe

    Btw i`m compiling now i`ll have a shiny new compile later hopefully with all the files and that so i can upload weee

    Well here we go the compiles just finished I made a beta... say about 9.9beta <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> all the files are included please note this is not the final version in any way but it just gives a taste of whats to come. I will be making the map alot brightness ( I messed up on the gamma and rad file settings )
