<div class="IPBDescription">NS2</div> This is totally "in your own dreams," not "OMG this has to be done!"
What if after HL2 comes out, an Incan Monkey God runs into Flayra and grants him ultimate programmer powers (and lots of money)? Using these powers, NS2 comes out for HL2. What would you look forward to in NS2? Real NS RTS? Maps that let you interact with all parts of the map giving the welder a whole new lease on life? A top-of-the-line physics engine? Or simple better graphics?

The acid and corrosive gas actually like reacting with walls and stuff when in contact. Like lets say acid rocket hits a wall and oozes out and creates some sorta violent reacation maybe even lights up a little creating dynamic light.
When some heavy armor guy or an onos storms by it would make dents in softer metal floors and walls and may also make the ground rattle a little. Like in Jerassic Park where that T-rex makes that glass of water do all that kewl stuff.
Siege cannons kinda suck stuff up then shoot it out.

mmm drive around in a heavy tank and take down row after row of fades untill an onos comes and shoves me over cliff <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
:edit!: blue doesnt really work with this forum does it? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Anyhoo, in the tech demo of the HL2 vid, you could see how the earth was dynamically moving and all. But the smoke, which were 2D sprites, around it wasn't reacting to the ground/level itself good, just going through at as would normal HL would. Now if this particle system as you could call it is so good, then how come they had that whole sprite code still in place? I don't think that was worth that.
Long story short, the flamethrower could finally be a reality, and the explosion from a nade could actually make sense.
Wires that can be cut/repaired to turn on/off the power (Lights, Elevators).
More weapons.
Vehicles.
Powersuites like the Aliens Powerloader.
Bigger Maps
More outdoor type maps.
A Gravity gun.
More interactive things in the maps.
Maybe more alien classes that won't make the game more bias than it is now.
cuz no more 32 weapon limit!
Pretty cool, imagine what an Onos would look like on that engine
Not exactly true.
Half-Life supports as many weapons as you want, However, you need to have a different way to store the weapons. If you go over 32, by default the weapons are stored in a integer, which is 4 bytes. 4 * 8 = 32.
mmmmm hover-bin
Welding off a ladder and watching that fade fall to it's death as the ladder falls back to the floor....
Blowing up walls with the grenade launcher
Shooting the roof with a HMG and it collapses and out pops some tubing and whatnot.
It could easily be the greatest engine the world has seen thus far @_0
