    THE GLARE, DEAR GOD THE GLARE!

    Quick man, get your comp outta that room! The glare will kill j00!!

    BTW, hardcore gamers don't need shelves, we work on a system of organized piles of CDs and cannabalized AOL CD cases.

    I have Vice City, Baldurs Gate II, and Operatica: Shine in pile 1, next to the router that is dangerously close to falling off the desk. In pile 2 are my demo CDs, which I can throw in the microwave when im bored (put a CD in the microwave for 3 seconds, pretty lights, useless CD <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

    I don’t think so. You must have it some were over the Internet so other peoples can view it. Otherwise it’s not possible I think, if you don’t have ICQ, MSN ect. Then you can send it direct to a person from your hard-drive instead of putting it on the Internet.
    Well, I'm not the smartest guy in this kind of situations. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    This is about it really. I +KNOW+ it's a mess.

    The only nice bit of kit there is the Roland XV-5050 synth rack module on my desk (the one with the beer bottle ontop).

    I should really clear all those cans out.

    What the hell is with all these DVD style jewel cases for your PC games? Some kinda European thing or somethin? Here in the USA we still have standard sized CD Jewels.. which take much much less room...

    Wow, nice setup Nomble. I'm probably going
    to be shopping around for a new "computer
    desk / work area" within the next few months,
    so I'll keep that style in mind when looking. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah, here in Europe we have got DVD cases instead of small cases like you have and what we had before.

    Although we don’t have all DVD cases, the PC Gamer magazine here in Sweden has the old one yet. I think every demo CD has a regular case.
    And like music CD's has the regular one too.

    All PC games come in the DVD cases now ( In the UK at least).
    It's to save space, although the reg jewel cases are smaller from stacking around the PC, I assume that like a few years ago over here, you get the reg cases in freaking huge cardboard boxes that just have the cd in. This was done to cut increase shelf space. Some games still come in the old format, although those are usually the ones with big instruction manual. E.G. Morrowind and most flight sims.
