<div class="IPBDescription">How it should be</div>ok, if i remember i read in the faq (or well, if not there, in another place ) that the readyroom should not be another par of the map, just an introduction for the players, so i was thinking of doing (if i have time) a "heaven"-like readyroom, As i havent seen any readyroom yet ( <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo--> ) i dont know if the idea is good. anyone???

There will be "teleporters", or basically non-portable phase gates, for joining each team and random pick, and a corridor that ramps upward toward a darkened doorway, for the spectator selection.
Finally, to tell one RR apart from another, there will be a holographic projector in the center of the spawn room that displays the map name and some kind of image related to the map (for instance, a holographic image of the word "Halcyon", underneath a simple hologram of the ship itself, for my map NS_Halcyon).

I'm still toying with the precise layout of the two rooms that will make up my RR, but I plan to start building it tonight (I've got some really nifty textures that I've been waiting a long time to use in an NS map). So I should have something to show tomorrow.
Actually, the very first NS map ever made (my own ugly ns_solar) had the heaven theme for the ready room. There was chanting and there was mist floating across the doorways. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> I love it!
I also love more traditional "realistic" ready rooms too. 3D_Mike made this really trippy Tron-like ready-room for ns_scorpio (now cancelled I guess). You were on this green grid in space and lots of hallucinogenic effects.
I hope for dark, gritty, realistic readyrooms to get into the NS mood, though I wouldn't mind a readyroom which is really funny...I guess.

Well mine won't be very gritty, but it will fall within the boundaries of reality, mehopes.
