I think this will be a good time to ask
I'm not asking for a direct date or any pressure deadlines. I just overheard some people saying NS will be out in sept or later while others say it will be within the next few weeks. So.. when?
Comments
It's probably not long until release, but don't get mad if it doesn't come out within a few weeks. :)

Awww yeah.
Anything can angry as well.
On a more serious note, I believe "Aww yeah" is a patented phrase.

We don't have to worry about that for a while, though.
(Getting the topic back on track after MonsE's attempt to mess it up)

Then comes the deadline but it still looks like the mod is far from it's release by the amount of information displayed
Awww yeah. "
Yeah thats really easy for u to say when u play the game lol but for us normal people it kinda gets old not knowing anything..
Everything you see is a gift. Not a right. No whining, please. I got really, really irate when the large amount of PR work leads to people expecting constant updates, just because I had more time to post things in the past. If you want something to complain about, go be a Hostile Intent fan. They get an update about every other month. For the last 3 years...
/me walks off muttering about the impolite and ungrateful

Yeah, don't whine about what's released. The art isn't the only PR, there are feature descriptions everywhere, read em.

You know you love me.
What was the original topic? I don't want to see this closed just because of a lemur comment.

I think this was the final thing that needed to be said on the subject at hand.
I would rather that the team work on finishing up models, and finding servers, rather than posting pretty screenshots.
There, how was that?
My point is, I don't care what servres you have.
I don't care how many maps come with the first release.
I don't care how many models (or lack of) we have seen.
I dont care if I have to wait 'til September.
I don't care if inital versions are bug-laden.
This game needs to be FUN. Do we have playtesters looking deeper than surface glitches? Deep into the fun facor? What kind of rush does a fireteam get out of taking down a level 2? What does it's death moan sound like? If I let off my shottie in a Bob's face, what would his death animation look like? How helpless does a marine look when webbed? Does the lev 4 look feasible scary when bouncing off the walls and ceilings or is it just weird? Why dosen't Bob turn upside-down when walking on the ceiling? Will acid blood "burn" through the level (I know its not possible, but at least make a bullet hole render)? Can you make the sounds of Tiny's hoofprints match his gallop speed? How will a standing, decapitated marine fall to the ground? Does each level of evolution have individual kill and death cries (this is both functional and decorative)? Swimming animations? Will the aliens move realisticly? Physics, I know it is a fun mod but physics mean EVERYTHING (Jumping, Level 4's moving, Jetpack, Falling, nd the Momentum/Inerta of Level 2's 5's and "bouncing" level 4's give me the most concern)! The hitbox thing I talked about earlier (these arent regular creatures, so give them irregular hitboxes)? Do we have weapons to fill all roles? Do the radio commands come easily (Tribes 2 system? please?)?
Anyway, I have even more endlessly long things I would like to be looked over before the first beta is released. Things to give the atmosphere, make the game FUN. You only get one first impression. Let's make it a good one.
/me hints that this whole long ### post could be avoided if Freemantle was a playester

I actually talked her out of going dancing in Boston on Friday so I'll be here for the playtest this weekend.
The stuff that the team is/are doing is -very- important to the health of this mod.
All the stuff you listed (like little things such as what a marine looks like when webbed) might not actually make it in. Flayra is aiming for a -working- (bug-free, as bugs make a mod un-fun) playable, enjoyable version. The bells and whistles come later.
What just happened?
