<div class="IPBDescription">for fur</div> I need a blue mask/layer for fur fading to invisible.
Blue is transparent (like in spraylogos) any everything thats not that color is visible.
it should look like this, without the green and red lines. All I need is the blue mask_layer.
The green lines just show the area that must be absolutely blue (the upper part is bigger than the lower - the lower fades faster)
Left and right border must be a blue line.
Top and bottom should habe no blue.
size should be 256*256.

I wanted a mask, fine, but not exactly like my crappy example but more detailed.
And the mask should be "single colored (but thats easy to fix)" and NOT smooth!!!
Do you know what dithering is?
Could for example work that way:
Take the whool picture - Increase contrast - make the green marked parts black, Put smooth gardient layers (fade to black) over it - merge all - Adjust Brightness,Contrast,Gamma - turn the picture into an SW-image with high dithering - convert one color of this SW image into one mask.
This puts the texture itself into the mask, maybe looks nice, maybe not, because I want a mask that looks a bit like falling hair and not just curly whool.
My photoshop experience is just poor.

[edit]Yes, I know it's not single-coloured, but it should be sharp enough to make it very easy for you to use it as a mask (just select the blue color, inverse the selection (every semi-decent photoeditingsoftware should do this) and fill it with white)...
I tried one, dithered too much, this should look like hair.
tested ingame:

oh wait, its not dithered too much.
keep it at this much blue.
Otherwise you will see the triangles too much.
