Zerglin Bite Thing

A polite request...
It's bit strange that zerglin has huge claws and still only bites. It would be good if somebody could make a claw models to replace the skulk mouth.

uhm.. no.. removing the bite animation and replace it with something different was discussed many times before..with the same result- that could be taken as ..uhm..cheating?
the bite has one major effect.. it covers your view.. makes it harder to aim...
that is supposed to be like that.. a game ballance reason..

but maybe someone can make a bite/clawslash attack...

i think that we could take the same type of claws from the hydralisk model except alter them slightly

He wants a zergling-specific model; it's not that awful of a request. I'd want one if I were using the Zergling model.

I don't have the time for it, personally, but would you want the 2-clawed model, or the scythe-clawed model?

How about just replacing the bite model with a zergling bite and slash at the same time.

Here's the problem with what he's asking (if I have this correct). He wants the zerglings claws to be in the attack animation. But they are used in the run animation, and for that to happen the skeleton has to be edited, making the claws part of the lower body. In HL animations, only the lower body moves in movement anims, and only the upper body moves in attack anims. So if the claws are used in the walking (thus the skeleton edited), they won't work in the attack anims.

If this makes no sense, PM Pvt. Hudson, he explained it better.

EDIT: OH WAIT! Nevermind, he's talking about the V model! I said nothing...

Having the skulk attacking with its claws would be like us attacking with our hands.... wait... woops.

BTW you could allways make athe claws block most of the view when attacking. Its head is behind its claws when it strikes after all.

    Yeah

It would be nice to see a v_model to go with the zergling, and it could still block a large portion of the view.
Still, I'm not using it because of those 'lame' consistency checks....

I was just thinking that in SC the serglings do attack with their claws and not with their teeth. On this moment I'm not using a zerglin as a skulk model but I was thinking of doing that when all the SC models are done. By the way, does anyone know how those SC marine guns are doing?
