<div class="IPBDescription">Are you a voice wizard?</div> I noticed that whenever I play a half life mod these days I tend to have different voices. Like sometimes I have a upper class british accent, sometimes cockney, sometimes american, sometimes squealy, sometimes monotone.

I wonder if anyone else does this, or am I just a complete nutcase???

It's quite common. Most people have different voices depending on what situation you're in.
I change my voice all the time one for talking serious, one for teaching, one for talking with children (trying to lose that one), one for talking with official people...
I would guess that just like me there is pattern for your use of different voices. Try and think next time you play or the next time you're in a store talking to someone you don't know.

Yes actually you are right, when I comm, I'm upper class, when I rambo, I'm cockney, when I'm just being silly I do a high pitched voice.

When I'm in-game, I like to imitate Lister from Red Dwarf. "Onos outside the door... I'm going back home to my curry vindelou". "You know what your problem is commander? You're a smeghead!"

I sometimes do nerd voice when reporting something, 'Er commander sir, there is a skulk munching on our resource extraction utility.'

'Er, commander sir, I am about to enter the death zone'.

12 year old kid voice,

'help mummy mummy, scary monster here!'

Retard voice,

'Uhh commander, what d'ya want me ta do?'

The most annoying is Cartman from southpark voice, especially if you're comm.

I totally do that.

But yeah, it does depend on what's going on at the time. If we're just getting started, or everyone's having fun i just speak in my normal accent, which is usuall a really camp essex (in england) accent. But if things get a bit more serious i can only really be catagorised as a foul-mouthed cockney. But i do occasionally break out into a bit of an american accent.... Not sure why really.

I'm brit too, and I dunno, my american accent pops up from time to time. Even my american accents vary, from east to west coast, or small mid-town america.

I've also started speaking a strange french accent too.

I gotta stop playing on those friggin american and french servers! ****.

For the two week span my mic was working I used to comm in the drill sargent voice from Full Metal Jacket. It was quite effective.

Especially when someone doesn't cooperate.

"How tall are you (random marine) I didn't realize they stacked **** that high"

I have my "Game over man" voice when Im on marines and were all but defeated. Crazy voice when I decide to go psycho in the middle of a fight and kamikaze with a knife. Serious when I want to actually play the game.
