Sports eh? I was a skilled flanker in my time. I could wrestle the opposing team in a good old scrum, no doubt, but Im so quick and slippery, so they always give it to me to finish off with.

wrestle because you like it. You don't have to be a 'big tough guy' to wrestle i suppose, just do it because you want to.

I have brown belt at judo, and i only do it because i want to. Sure, it's impressive and handy to know judo when you are in problems, but the first thing i REALLY learned at judo is NOT TO FIGHT. Try to avoid fighting in everyway possible. Only fight when there is no other way.

but back to the point, wrestling is just a game, do it for the fun of playing, not because you want to impress other people or something like that.

Yes, I took Judo once. The told me not to fight, so I quit and worked on my sprinting.

(Note to self: Stop with the one-liners already)

    I kinda wanna, but I kinda don't....

I mean I realize that it would be for me, but the image just isn't me....  I can't picture myself on those mats.  But I kinda feel like I should try it anyway....  I mean the worst that could happen is an injury, and since I'm a soccer player those are of no strangeness to me...

So......  I guess I'm trying to talk myself outta something I want to try.....

Actually it sounds like you don't really want to do it. Thats what i'm getting out of this.

You don't have to be big to be a wrestler. Short, quick guys at our school always owned. Anyway...

It's all up to you man, I don't think anything we say could actually help your decision.

if you want to, go ahead, but let me give you a word of warning: spandex.

one of the guys on the handball team at my school last year was on the wrestling team too, and we always bugged him about wearing spandex <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

Exactly. Just make sure you know what you'll be doing (and wearing) before you agree to do it. Like Gen()cide says, it sounds like you don't want to do it. So my advice is, if you're not 100% for it, or it just isn't you, dont.

try i used to wrestle till i quit this year i was varsity went to regional champs u can be any size u wan thats why they got weight classes just be ready to run and get the crap kicked out of u.. it can be one of the best sports and it can be one of the hardest, when ur alone on the mat with a person the same weight as u and u have both spent sweat and blood to just wrestle for 3 minuts on a mat knwing in your mind that 1 will come off a winner is the scarriest thing.. if u do wrestle stay dedicated its not hard to be good but hard to be greatv jees that sounded good lol
