Mapper Request A......

Hi, I belong to the DEADCLAN and have made two maps. Ns_deadclan2 and ns_dead_alley2. Alley was good enough to make onto our server rotation. I am requesting a dropship from a Skinner. I've looked all over and found two dropships, one on this forum. Both have way to many angles on them, which makes the poly counts unuseable for my needs.

THIS IS WHAT I NEED:
#1 A boxy type dropship fully skinned.
#2 Needs to be able to hold 8 players. [Our server is 15 players]
#3 Needs to have the TSA logo or the words 'DEADCLAN" on it.
#4 Open hatch for Marines to exit ship.

WHAT YOU GET:
#1 Reconition in the map credits.
#2 Reconition on our web site as the Skinner for the ship.

THE REST IS UP TO YOU!
All other options and designs are totaly up to you. Your ideas, your designs and you get the credit.

Its a drop ship, so no need for weapons or fancy flight wings. I can ladder it up as long as you have a hatch for the marines to exit. The boxier the better. I would prefer the words "DEADCLAN" on it, but it is not required, the TSA logo will suffice. Lights and glass, ie: windscreen is up to you. I can put lights on and in it after your done.

Our site is at www.deadclan.com and our server ip is 198.247.231.15:27019. Please post, pm me or email my with any ideas or dropships. All will be considered.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

You sure you want a model for this? It seems a world-brush prefab would make more sense. /:

    *agrees*

If you just want to have it in your map to look good => take a model.
If you want to use this dropship to "carry around" players or even being able to get inside the drop ship => prefab

Actually, you can fit players inside of a world model, use clip brushes.
Having it move around on a map... maybe not so much.

If you want it "as boxy as possible" though, you'd be better sticking with a prefab. As far as my experience goes, world models, while providing nice eyecandy and a little novelty, are best used when you're trying to replicate something that Hammer can't do very well, like curved surfaces for instance.
