Servers Forcing Defaults

Needs to be a way to allow custom mods
Just played a league game and the server had consistency on so I had to swap in default models which I havent used in months and suffice to say I played absolutley terrible, couldnt hit a damn thing. Now my custom models are not hacked or advantages to me I just prefer them far more than the defaults.
There must be a way to allow custom models in games while still filtering out overly helpfull ones like spiked models?. I play ns for fun and for competition both of which suffer if I am forced to use models I dont like even though the ones I do use give me no advantage whatsoever.

Nope, sorry. Either default or not at the minute.

I agree with you btw , I'm all mixed up custom/default at the moment. Not for H4x0R! purposes I just like them.

eg, my Pulserifle has a small muzzleflalsh, which could be seen as a cheat, but my HMG ( smartgun ) has a huge flash.

My Alien skulks are soooo much more noticeable in a light map, (eg most of Hera), but almost invisible in dark rooms ( eg , most of NS..)

It's a shame a few hacking idiots who need every damn dodgy advantage possible have to spoil it for everyone else..

    /me spits at them

    /shrugs.

I don't see why people still want skin hacks though just because of them we cant use customs, and they.. well they have aimbots, wallhacks, press-a-button-to-play-for-you-while-you-go-get-coffee, I mean I'm sure someone could invent a "sentry" hack that involves someone staying close to an armory, checks what the marine really should see, shoot at incoming aliens, reload when the hack "sees" no-one is coming and recharge at the armory. And if that's not enough they have to spoil OUR pleasure of having customs by wanting pink neon skulks as though their over-bright gamma booster with wallhack wasn't enough for killing their eyes

(Not giving ANY ideas whatsoever with that armory sentry though!!!)

Consistency really is a terrible thing.

I can't use my lowpoly models in matches/scrims, which is quite a bad thing.

someone needs to make an anti-cheat that checks to make sure models fit within a certain area, then spiked models/etc wouldn't work

Duff man that is at the moment a cheat tho... although by those standards having a good computer is a cheat aswell, seeing how JP's, building etc is locked into FPS. 1.1 will save us

They had something like that in the early playtests.

If a marine went AFK NS would aim and shoot for him. It just proved to be a little too accurate for it's own good.

    So they removed it
