I'd kill to get my level in the official build, as opposed to a map pack. I think a lot of other people would too. We're just like that...

Like ken said, if your map is official, EVERYONE has is, all the servers have it installed, etc. A map from a map pack gets played likely about 80% less than any official map, as both server and player must download and install it. And not everyone checks sites Official = more players = more pride, blah blah

Agreed. You have a much better chance for getting your map into NS officially if you make sure it's great. I'd rather see a solid map then a rushed map.

Don't stress out too much over this deadline, there will be other opportunities to get your work in NS. This is only the first deadline of many.

why not make 'map-updates?'

updates for NS where nothing really changes (few variables or something, few bugs fixed) but the best thing about it are the new maps coming with the release?
people will d/l it because it is an update, although its small... One could be released every two months or so.

I completely agree with Flay and Shuvit.
Not having your map in for the 28th means it won't get in v1.0, but there will most definitely be bugs in 1.0 that need to be fixed. Not even retail products are perfect out of the box. I would think(merely speculation) that a v1.1 or such would be released within a month or two of initial release, and it would probably have some new maps in it. People would still get your map, even if it wasn't in the first release.

Yes, I agree. Maps should not be rushed, and therefor lacking in quality...

But getting my level into v1 is still one of the most important things to me right now.

Same with me, Ken. I'd kill to get into v1, but it ain't gonna happen. My map, size wise, is less than a fourth complete. One fourth. Uh oh. And if anyone thinks they can make me map the rest of it in a week is nuts. Plain and simple. Hehe... Doesn't matter, like someone said here... shuvit maybe? I dunno... there'll be other official releases and such that maps could get into, which I'm aiming for. That way I can end these sleepless nights of mapping.
