<div class="IPBDescription">Starting May 9, ending May 25</div> Hiya folks,
Starting tomorrow, I will be out of the country and unable to access my email(s), answer PM's, be in IRC, manage the forums, do PR, play NS, etc. This means from May 9 through May 25th please don't expect prompt responses to communications. Flayra is also head-down in NS and getting himself a doggone job, so try and work with the Forum Mods and IRC Ops for your issues as much as possible. I *may* be able to check my mail a couple times via web cafe's, but I think my fleeting moments there in civilization will be spent drooling of E3 previews. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
For those who are curious, I am getting married. We leave for Edinburgh, Scotland tomorrow night, where we are doing the nuptials in a rented <a href='http://www.dalhousiecastle.co.uk/welcome.htm' target='_blank'>castle</a> (yes, if you work hard in the IT field, you can get a castle someday too <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ). From there we are on to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Then, we finish things up back in London, England, and back to the good old U.S. of A. A couple weeks of marital bliss, followed I'm sure by the standard 20 years of marital strife. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
A few more notes:
1. No, I am not wearing a kilt. My relatives were thrown out of scotland 400 years ago, but after doing some research with the old clan (Moffet) a few years ago, I discovered that they were scotch borders, who traditionally do NOT wear dresses like the highlanders.
2. No, I am not going to Amsterdam to get stoned like a dumarse hippy. Lisa (the future Mrs. MonsE) is only a 2nd generation American. Her family is from Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Heck, her mother wore wooden shoes up until highschool. America the melting pot.
3. No, I will not be setting foot in france. I bought plane tickets that take me very specifically to each destination country, with no train rides via paris. Screw those frogs - you're not getting a nickle from me. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Have fun guys, talk to you soon...

Enjoy it -- don't let too many thoughts of us get in the way. This sort of thing (as long as it's with the right person, which I trust you've already made sure of) is a once-in-a-lifetime type deal, and you'll want to remember it for at least as long as you live. You've spent the time and effort making the wedding plans and setting off this time for yourselves, so don't screw anything up by saying "But honey, I promised I'd be at the playtest at 2AM GMT!"
disregard.

Oh, and remember, if you have some extra cash and want to scare your new wife, you can always take a detour and be invited on a drink by me <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
[edit]Oh, and technically, you'd be suspened now because you advertized your topic via the report button ;p[/edit]

Reminds me of renaming fries, throwing wine down the drain and my father getting mad and tossing Harry's out the window <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Yeah, but if you chain a <i>dog</i> up and give it a good beating every now and then, people will start to protest.
And I <i>just</i> <b>can't</b> work in that sort of environment.
So what date is the wedding?
I'll have to remember to raise a toast that day . . . .
I'd watch what you say MonsE, my girlfriend is french <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I got $20 says she can deck you with one punch (she jawed [broke the jaw of] my brother last Christmas after he poured egg nogg on her head and ruined the $200 dollar dress I had given her the Christmas before)
And to answer your question, which you probably won't ask MonsE, yes I do plan on marrying the woman <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
If you want I'll rant about how videogames and music were better in the late 70's/early 80's for you while you're gone. :)
!!!
That is the best damned idea ever! Go for it monse. You could also mix some Indiana Jones style save-the-girl stuff in there too. Get you a whip and the hat, and go pwn nazis!
Or not. ^_^
<!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Hmmmm...
<!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
And Nem is right - I have no beef with the french, just their goofy government. Not like you'd see the cash from my plane tickets as a regualr frenchie, just the french government's cronies the french airlines.
/me shakes fist at Chirac
/me then goes off to buy fedora and whip for big 'indiana jones and the last crusade' wedding night. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Btw, France isn't only Chirac... But nm, it aint the good topic to argue 'bout that <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Have fun
BTW how many here have Gamespot Complete?

Also Canadians, this castle is what Dalhousie University in Halifax is named for. Founded by the 9th Earl George, owner of the joint. Kinda fun getting married in a place that was 500 years old before the USA even began to revolt against the British...
