<div class="IPBDescription">not what you think...</div> This is something that really bothers me, no not a 1 man JP rush (they are lame =/ ) but when the marine team is clearly winning, conrtoling the map, working as a team, and putting the prussure on the aliens, and finially kills there hive with 5 guys with JP/HMG and JP/shotty. The first thing I see what we all get to the ready room is 1/4 of the alien team crying about a JP/tec rush. This game was over 20 min long, the marines had most of the res nodes on the map and we killed many of there res towers.
When we save a small amout of res to get 5 guys with JPs and better guns, its a cheap rush? ...o im sorry FOR WINNING THE DAMN GAME.
edit: both teams had good players in this game...it was on nano.

i was in the alien team, and i was quite sure we wasn't "Crying" about the jp/tech rush... at least i know the only thing i said about this was "gg unlimted jp" as in jp exploit. Surely the marines had won and we lost. But we are talking about 2 different things there.

Anyway, nearly any game with a JP/HMG hive destruction is horrible. 'specially when the Aliens were clearly going to lose.

This game was today, but its not about that one and only game, this is happend before playing both alien and marine.
And to restate the main point, this thread is NOT about rushing with JPs, its about winning with teamwork, yet people whine about a JP/tec rush, when there was no rushing at all.

the aliens weren't "whining" about the jp/tech rush... at least when u say 1/4 of the alien team, that means, me and abtm, i think. And if it was us you're talking about, then we were talking about the jp exploit, not the jp/tech thing... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> and we weren't whining about it, we were more like saying jp exploit should be made slayable or something.
jp exploit? I dont think its really an exploit...more like a flaw (if your talking about fps thing whitch I think you are).
but again im not talking just about that one game, just useing it as an example.
I did not want to name any names, but yes a few people on the alien team (like 2) called that win a "tec rush" when clearly it was not. There was a lot of voice comm at the end of the game and things overlapped, hehe.

The second is JPs themselves - flaws in the code that let high-FPS players use them far longer than they ought, as well as just general balance issues. Sounds like *this* is what people were upset about, rather than the other.
Both are being addressed in 1.1.

actually coil its the first problem that people are most concerned about. if aliens have 2nd hive up they couldnt' care less if the jpers stay in the air all day. web + umbra + spike + acid rockets will bring down those jpers.
its getting jp hmgs into your hive before anyone on your team can afford lerks is the main problem. on 10v10 + games this happens way too often
