w00t! don't get me wrong, i plan on buying it when it comes out on dvd too.
So when the official soundtrack comes out you'll be able to know what song belongs to what episode.
I have that Supermoves song, and I have it labeled as by "Overseer".
All Muvico theaters in Florida (and elsewhere I think) are showing Reloaded on May 14th at get this....10 PM! Reserving my tickets now...
Normally I'd say something to the effect of "You're joking, right?" but I figure that even if you do know what it is, someone else may not.
I'll let the official website for it do the talking. www.theanimatrix.com *or* www.intothematrix.com. And yes, it's canon -- about half of them were written by the Wachowski brothers themselves. Only 4 of the announced 9 will be up for download, and it's generally agreed that The Second Renaissance and The Final Flight of the Osiris have been the best ones seen so far (the Osiris one was shown before Dreamcatcher in theatres, but isn't up for download)
Detective Story > all.
Detective Story > all.

The voices in my head made a unanimous decision.
Detective Story wasn't half bad either; I guess the reason I didn't like it as much is because I liked the concept and wanted it expanded to a longer story
Top 9 Animatrix Eps
1.) Final Flight of the Osiris - Simply for the opening scene, and because it's a prequel of sorts to Reloaded
2.) Second Renaissance Part II - Oh god, this gives soooo much background info on the Matrix it's not funny. Plus it appeals to my disturbing side. Plus Koji Morimoto (Director) is one of my all time favourite mecha designers (Macross anyone?)
3.) Beyond - The style oozes out of this episode. Some very interesting set designs and angles (Which I feel I can comment on safely as I'm an anime connoisseur). I'm really looking forward to what Koji Morimoto (The director) will produce in the field of anime. Check out a music video he directed HERE. Won MTV's best Dance Video in 1996
4.) Program - Same director as Vampire Hunter D, Wicked City and X. Nuff said.
5.) Detective Story - The noiristic approach taken on this episode is a fresh direction from Shinichiro Watanabe and while the whole cat throwing the hat scene was rather cheesy this is a very well executed piece. Though it just didn't appeal to me as much as the others.
6.) Kid's Story - This very unique piece from Shinichiro Watanabe (Director, best known for Cowboy Bebop) the art style is almost that of rough sketches and it animates very smoothly. However the style works by
7.) The Second Renaissance Part I - Though informative, it really doesn't connect with me as all it is, is information and no story. It just sets up Part II. So yeah, it winds up at number 7.
8.) World Record - I heard this was another CG movie. The art style disappointed me, though the story saves it from being the worst.
9.) Matriculated - Odd style from Peter Chung (Best known for Aeon Flux) I dunno.... he uses pretty much the same character design for the lead female character. The CG scene is absolute tripe (The Looney Tunes reference is just plain out of place) and I just plain hate this style. Urgh... his feet design is like a bloody christmas elf... The style is just so so so so so so wrong. The style makes the genre of cyber punk cry out in pain. It screams of an american cartoon trying to emulate anime. I'm sure you'll feel the same when you see it.
Nothing in it mattered.
Huge emotional affair followed by Oh yeah *spoiler:* we were testing you.
I BELIEVE the song is Junkie XL - Dark Moody. It owns so much. This is just a 60sec sampling of it.
Listen to it hnereeee
It's played during The Second Renaissance Part II during the battle part. Just ignore the sounds and listen for the song
It's also played during the Matrix Reloaded trailer where neo spins around on the pole.
The guy screaming his head off in the end is being ripped from his mecha, while his limbs are still locked in.... (IE, he's just a torso....)
The whole scene is rather disturbing... I swear to god I'm putting a bullet through my head the second the robot revolution happens..... It's quite scary stuff.

Nope, THAT's Overseer - Supermoves, (jeez, I feel like a broken record)
Of course, you could go to the official website and see that it hasn't been officially released for download yet.
<HINT HINT: make with the clickity-clicky!>
[Edit]sorry guys, I was downloading as I posted and just saw from the 1st few seconds that it's part 1 I linked to, not part 2. They've gotten too smart for my old methods to work anymore -- all tricky with the filenames and such. D'oh.
Changed the link so it won't go anywhere.
[Edit agian] there's another thread here about it already. check there for the link.
