I was thinking of making the zealot pys blades as a replacement for the knife and wanted to know if its possible (and how difficult) to replace the whole arm model and replace it with a zealot arm.
using my cs experience, if you start doing them, finish em well. once upon a time, like a year ago or so, some dude sent CSNation a wolverine claw replacemetn for the knife. it was cool an all, low poly too, but the blades looked like plastic and the overall detail was ****. THUS if ur gonna do it, give a real go, otherwise its ****. hehe, should prove to be uber cool if u pull this off. just don't only make it with protoss hands. make one with marine hands, so we marine replacements lubbers for the marine side can use em too without going weird <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.

The weapon model that you see (the "v_model") includes both the weapon and the arms holding it. So if you make a pair of arms with psi blades, that's all you'll see - no worries about seeing marine hands. However, you will have to create bones and animations for them.
