<div class="IPBDescription">R.I.P Rumourmills</div> Well, today we've learned that the Natural-Selection Playtesting has gone quite well assumedly and that now it will be handed on over to the final stage of it's life cycle as a test to the Veterans. They will be responsible for testing the aspects of the game-play and to ensure the game is competetive and balance fairly. So now you can all stop wondering and speculating as to where Natural-Selection is and where it is going in the next couple of weeks. GG NS-Team, keep up the good work!

Where, exactly, does he tell people what they can and can't post? I think y'all need to SDYB and SUYF (bonus points to the person who knows what those stand for).

Thank you, abtm, for pointing out the news post for those who might not normally check the front page. As clarification, the Veterans and Playtesters are working together to test 1.1, to make sure the final result is the best possible for both public servers *and* competitive play.

woot bonus points for me. anyway.

all the forum mods have been yelling at us for speculating and conjecturing and otherwise thinking outloud with mouths drooling, and atbm is, you know, helping them out.

i, for one, have seen the front page about 4 times, 3 of which were when people started threads about news posts. i have a bookmark that goes : <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php' target='_blank'>http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php</a> so i dont use the front page.

why does everyone who posts here get flamed?<rethorical question>
  • KenichiKenichi This is not a pie. Join Date: 2002-11-01 Member: 2941Members, NS1 Playtester
because very few posts are made that benefit the community. Thus the flames come.

Thanks Coil I am haeving maeny love for you ! As clarification -- Yes; the playtesters WILL be working with the Veterans in this phase. My statement was merely to clarify that the actual focus of the testing phase has now shifted SLIGHTLY. In that, people are focusing more now on releasing a product that can be competetive like Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat and others. To ensure this, the most crucial phase is that of the Veterans, the clan members who were voted by their peers to be the "best of the best" in Natural-Selection.

If the playtesters and veterans work together in harmony, the release will be just THAT better. No, I do not presume to tell anyone what they can or cannot post. There are a list of rules this forum has, and I merely try my best to remind those who step over that preverbial "line" of rule so they can quickly get their foot back on the proper side before getting theirselves run-over.

And yes, y'all need to relax and just wait for 1.1, it will be THAT much better if people would take initative and tell people when to relax, have fun and stop rumour milling and pestering those who are hard at work in the forums/IRC/NS/Programming.

Ho, ho, ho. The idea of <i>having</i> to "benefit" the community is a pretty funny one; while the mods and bigwigs (Flayra, MonsE) are friendly and tolerant, it's a shame that a lot of the NS Forum population is not. The former group don't seem to demand any type of "benefit" from posts.

The real answer is,<i> "Lots of people around here are extremely eager to take any opportunity to shoot down a person's opinion and 'score points'"</i>.

ROFL.... yea, that guy in the shot didn't just kill two aliens. I kinda detect a SLIGHT altering of the photo... if you look at it just right you can see where the bodies WERE at before he edited them out.

LOL@Frahg... that picture had me laffing for a good 10 minutes.

Now that's <b>dense</b>. I mean, core of a black hole kind of dense.

It really doesn't take searching for bodies to come to that conclusion, ya know?

Oh well; it is after all difficult to decipher sarcasm in text; remember to use the (/sarcasm) tag people!
