Day of the tentacle (DOTT) was the greatest adventure game of all time. Far far far far better than Sam & Max. It was sooo much fun. It came bundled with my sound card in 1993.

Remember that place where you could play Maniac Mansion 1 on that guy's computer? The one where you spray the dissapearing ink onto his stamp collection to get the stamp to put on the letter so you could get hoagy to post it back in time...

So much fun, I've got the original CD right here with me now. Ahh the memories.

Maniac Mansion (the first one) was so great, but I never could find gas for the chainsaw (I know, there is no gas for the chainsaw), so I always blew up the mansion, bewm!!

Not surprisingly, alarms, bells, whistles, gongs and a poorly-conducted orchestra all simultaneously went off in my head when I read this. Anything packaged with computer hardware as sampler software is usually the stuff that ends up <i>below</i> the bottom of the barrel, typically used to hold it level so you can pile <i>more</i> crap into it.

I could never figure out Maniac Mansion (playing it from the computer in DOTT), which is rather a shame as it looks like great fun.
