Sometimes if you get kicked on-join unless it says "Kicked by Console" could possibley be something to do with the servers plugins and they reservation system. Try to keep things like that in mind before flaming a particular server/servers/people or just generally commenting that these things happen.

If its your server, and you want on, then why not kick somebody.... they arent the ones paying/operating it, so they can go and find another server to play on.

Its not like being kicked is the end of the world. (and if it is...you've become WAY to attached to that server)

I have been the victim of random kicks myself. When I am not playing on the U.S. server, I play on some Australian servers. The internode server was/is using reserve slots and kicking by highest ping, which pretty well meant me all the time. Nevertheless i persisted in connecting to the server because I like the level of play on that server (or I did, I don't anymore ).

    SMALL RANT TIME

These days I visit Eftel server in Australia, which can sometimes be good, but they tend to stack the teams a lot and getting on marine you have to climb over the pile of players all waiting in the marine join area of the ready room. I end up on alien most of the time, despite the fact that I could command better than 80% of the players on the marine side. Then when I am on aliens I have to cope with a whole lot of wannabe 'good' gorges, who seem to delight in making the alien side twice as hard to win with. When I finally make it onto the marine side, I realise its because all the good players have decided to stack aliens and now I am left with the dregs to try and come up with a marine victory. NS can be extremely frustrating at times...hehehe.

I'm cursed today with being unable to connect to the U.S. server and play with some decent teamwork.

As I already said, "random kicks" could mean a player with a reserve slot is joining the server. I myself have a reserve slot on "Donce" and it kicks players who are non-reservists off so I can join. So not EVERYONE is vendictive and as previously mentioned, if it's their server -- they are the ones paying for the right to the server, your just a priviledged [ bad spelling ] user who has no expectation of privacy or right to use a/the server.

I play on CoFR quite often. As often as I can get a slot. Its a great server to play on and I have yet to be kicked for a reserved player. I believe it is pretty rare on that one. If I had a reserved slot on a server I would check the scores first before hopping and and ultimately booting someone. If you wait until the round is over then join then perhaps the players will not be as upset if they get kicked.
