A Modest Question

<div class="IPBDescription">Resource loss</div> I don't know whether this has been answered before but I am not sure what exactly to search for. So my question is the following:

Sometimes the marines lose 1 res. Why do they do so? It was proposed that respawning costs res but that is not the case. So what causes the marines to lose res?

Maby they don't maby it is 2 res for a medpack or a ammo packet, but a res just comes at the same time looking like it was just 1.

It's because there's a new player that joined the marines.

Before when the game starts it would be random 90's res.

If you create a game and join the marines constantly the res will go down by 1.

But you always get >2 res per tick, unless you have 0 RTs.

Actually I'm pretty sure that when I see a marine die, the team will lose 1 res. I'll double check this, or someone else could.

I'm fairly certain that the 1 res is from a marine respawning.

When I play commander, I notice the same thing, even when I don't pass anything out.

It is absolutely certain that it's not because of spawning or deaths. Those are free.

My only guess was that the 1 res powered the armoury, so every time a team takes, say 16 clips, then the res would drop by one. But I have no grounds to prove this.

even flayra has said that marines respawning DOES NOT effect res.....

i will try and find the actual post....

the spawn cost is only for tourneymode. It has been removed from pubs to prevent comms from having nervous breakdowns because rambos die too much while eco-ing

I think it does in tournament mode, I never pay attention lol

The gorge secretly hax and takes -1 res off all servers every now and then. He then has a res binge and that is why the gorge is so fatteh.
